Aye ludicrous. I bow to your superior knowledge and reading of the situation. Sure, Townsend has a problem with his ego and Russell doesn't. Ok then.

It is ludicrous. To drop the best stand off we have ever had, to play a Winger converted to 10 who can’t kick at goal. And your answer for a back up to the winger convert is what…..we play the best full back since Gavin Hastings out of position? And to cap it all off, you want to do this against…. the All Blacks!?
I’m sorry but if you think that’s genuinely the best option then I absolutely do have superior knowledge because that is completely mental.
Thankfully even Townsend has seen sense.
BBC got it wrong - Boff missed one of his conversions.
On track to be World Rugby player of the year. Edinburgh had better get him signing a contract extension and making sure that when he does finally leave for France or the Premiership, that we're well compensated.
Great to see Finn back in the squad. I'm a big fan of Kinghorn and what he does with Edinburgh, but you cannot leave your elite player out of the team the way Toonie has. You can argue til the cows come home who's at fault, and what problems exist around Finn in camp, but that he's the best player at the position is undeniable. Having said that, I've seen our elite 10 make plenty of costly mistakes when the chips are down in a Scotland shirt...for Toonie to come out with the 'he has to show form' nonsense really did highlight it was a clash of egos, as Finn has been exceptional so far in the Top14. Anyway, I can't be bothered with who's to blame etc - I'm looking forward to seeing us put our best foot forward and have a crack at what looks like a well oiled All Blacks machine on Sunday - atmosphere should be great.
Equally good for me is to see Price replaced at 9. I just can't take to his style and he slows the game down something awful. He's not a bad player, far from it, but he's juxtaposed to the speed we have across our backs and too often he delays getting the ball from breakdown to the sides.
I'm not sure. I don't see us winning with or without Finn but he should start. Given how Kinghorn kicked against Australia, and then starting Hastings at the weekend he may well just go with Russell and hope a good performance sees it all forgotten but I don't trust GT to make the best choice for Scotland. Which is what you allude to.
I'm up for the game, and I'm really looking forward to it.

Yep, looking forward to it now FR is back. Needs
to start as you say.
NZ looked impressive last weekend but they have been inconsistent recently and it can’t be forgotten that Wales are very poor. Will take some turnaround but you never know, we have to beat them someday, surely!

Well, the main man is back!
Not convinced by Tuipulotu starting with Redpath out the squad. Finn will need some cross fields and long passes to find that back 3, as neither centre is a distributor.
Brown back in has come from nowhere considering he wasn’t even in the original squad but that’s just the Townsend Tombola at its best.
Australia fluff the last kick of the game conversion to give Italy their first ever win after 19 attempts against them 28-27
Thoroughly enjoyed that France vs South Africa game. Had a bit of everything, with France taking the win (their 12th in a row! Ominous...).
DuPont and du Toit both seeing red for their respective sides - Boks did well to get back into it but France claim the win in the end.
Anyone know what channel on Amazon the game is on?
Doddie Weir! Top man.
All Blacks unstoppable.
Fantastic response by Scotland. Great match.
Invisible to the vast majority of people in Scotland. Not even on the radio.
Pish weekend of sport.
Like watching Hibs, so ****ing frustrating!!
Was at the game. 55 mins of outstanding rugby. I'm not totally convinced it was a deliberate knock on but it killed the game. I don't know if their second try at the end was grounded but they gave it.
Frustrating as **** and ultimately the discipline has cost us again.

I thought the ref was great until about the 50th minute. Then he seemed to turn. The knock on from van der Merwe looked backwards to me. The deliberate knock-on was a farce. Their go-ahead try looked like it was down short of the line, and not even a look at the trip on Graham as he kicked through?!
Maybe im still in sour grape mode, but I feel robbed today.
As do I. However, same old scotland at the line. 3 times we blew it for a penalty.
However, I agree. I think the ref was picky all day but missed or got the big ones wrong. TMO didn't help much either. I was right beside the Graham one and he definitely should have looked at it again.
Same old story
Imagine how we'd have played if we hadn't started our 4th fly half? [emoji1787][emoji6]

I'm struggling to understand what would constitute an accidental knock-on if what we saw yesterday was deliberate.
With TMO it does work brilliantly, but am I right in thinking there's no limit to what they can use TMO to assess?
It killed the game for me yesterday, especially seeing the yellow card that came with it. That seems to be a ridiculously OTT punishment for something that clearly was not deliberate. It could have also been given as a penalty try if I'm not mistaken?
It does come down to poor discipline for what seems like the millionth time watching Scotland in the last 5 or so years. Penalties given away are criminal at times, baffling at others, but as professional players I expect them to know when they can do what they're doing. I do find myself shouting out when I see someone reaching over the ruck for fear that the ref will penalise them.
There was a point in the second half though where a player (Fagerson maybe?) couldn't roll away as he was being sat on by two NZ players at the side of the ruck, the ref didn't give the penalty but then did for the same thing about 25 seconds later? Confused me all ends up.
Still scratching my head as to how we threw that one away. Some top performances all over the pitch, Hogg back to what we know he can do, Ritchie Gray excellent, and of course Russell with an assured display really making a mockery of his exclusion in the first place.
The whole backline looks more dangerous and confident with Finn pulling the strings. I still don’t understand why Tuipulotu gets in ahead of Redpath, the guy is a bosh merchant, can’t pass.
The game was there for us, giving them a 14 point head start is never a great idea but fought hard to get into a lead but couldn’t execute when it mattered. The ref didn’t help with his picky decisions and the yellow card is a so harsh. That law in general is a complete farce, basically no point trying to intercept as if you don’t catch it you are off for 10, and if you happen to hit the ball in the tackle then you are off for a rest as well.
Finn must remain at 10 and Townsend needs to get a centre partnership that he feels is his best and stick to it as we run up to the World Cup. The amount of combinations he has had in there is nuts, and we aren’t any closer to knowing which works best. I’d go Redpath and Harris next game with Finn at fly half,
That knock on when it went 5 yards backwards was ridiculous especially when the touch judge was right there. Yes thought the ref did turn. Thought Graham was definitely taken off the ball which should definitely been a penalty and probably yellow. Was watching on prime wasn't that clear why some the pens near the line were given against us. Thought Scotland were excellent in the main.
