Way off Porteous and Hanlon level IMO.
I see Jason Kerr has only appeared in 4 out of 21 matches for Wigan.
I’d revisit that one and see if we can get him to be honest.

I’d be happy with that. The little I’ve seen of him I liked. He’s young but has top flight experience. However I get the impression we are going to spend money on a CB, which I’m in two minds about as I really rate our current two. Unless we are going to three at the back of course. I’m a bit surprised about the lack of interest in McCart by some of our fans.
Every time we were close to scoring it seemed like he was the one I get a block, tackle or header in to prevent a goal.
Block on Gullan in first half
Header then block and foul won start of second half when it fell to Nisbet
Clearance when ball fell to Hanlon in box
Won foul to prevent Nisbet’s second disallowed goal
To name but a few. Yes it looked like Nisbet was onside for the first goal but I’m sure St Johnstone fans watching that will say Hanlon sclaffed the ball out which lead to the corner which then Porteous scored an own goal from 😬😂
I’m not saying he’s 100% better than Hanlon and McGinn. But this is only his second season in the top flight and at 24 has lots of room to improve.
Also think he’s very comfortable on the ball for a defender.
Could do far far worse than getting him in for free and providing competition. I think he’s one fans will appreciate more when he’s playing for your team.
