I think it’s somewhere in the middle, not as great as folk make out players and not quite as bad a manager. Spain, Germany and France simply have better also. If England get a path avoids them they could maybe get to the semi’s.Quote:

He did score a lot of penalties but interestingly he's also missed more penalties than any player in EPL history. His overall conversion rate for penalties was 83%. Compare that to Henry for example who converted 92% of his penalties.
He was a fantastic player though no doubt, I just don't rate him as highly as some other do (including himself).

Shearer was a great player. Kane is probably slightly better.
