Hibs ‘ goals came from Rob Jones, Abdessalam Benjelloun 2 and Steven Fletcher 2

Hibernian 3 v 1 Hearts
Latapy
Sauzee
Paatelainen
Ex Hibee hero Darren Jackson gave Hearts a first half lead with an admittedly cracking strike The Little Magician Russell Latapy equalised when he picked up the ball on the edge of the box with his back to goal swivelled sending his man one way and turned to send a right footed effort into Anti Niemi’s bottom left hand corner
Into the second half and HIBS legend Franck Sauzee lost four front teeth when he got his head to a Tom Smith cross to the far post to powerfully head home
Mixu Paatelainen wrapped up the points when Niemi could only knock a Latapy effort into his path

Jimmy Jimmy O’Rourke gave HIBS the lead after only 17 seconds of this high octane Scottish Cup quarter final with a powerful strike from the edge of the box with a left footed volley after being set up by Alan Gordon
Aberdeen were forced to attack which made for a fascinating Cup tie The HIBS defence held firm but the game was over when Joe Baker added a second just into the second half to book HIBS’ place in the semi finals against Rangers

During his absence Bobby Combe scored in the 60th minute
HIBS old boy Angus Plumb equalised for the Bairns before Nicol returned to the action
As the final whistle approached Lawrie Reilly in typical fashion popped up with a late winner to keep alive HIBS’ Championship hopes
