There seems to be a general consensus that Meadowbank is a pretty awful place to watch football. Is there a reason the women's team can't play at ER? Might encourage more folk along if they were playing alternate weekends to the men (the way the reserve team used to back in the day). I guess it wouldn't be great for the pitch, but I also wondered if the women's games could be played as a curtain-raiser to the men's games, with season ticket holders able to attend both or (to use the example above) spread the benefit of the ticket around the family.
Hibs Women against Spartans today on BBC Alba at 4pm. Aberdeen Women currently 11 nil down against Celtic.
It just struck me that Hibs have the perfect colours for a womens team - Green,white and Purple - the original colours used by suffragettes !
A good start here, a goal surely coming soon.
