I noticed the club have added the option to add a donation to the community foundation again. For me they’ve missed a trick with this. Perfect opportunity to add in the option of a Womens season ticket for £50 or a donation.

Adjusting the goal was something I thought about for a while a few years back, however I think it's an easy and frankly, cheap get out.
The womens game should be allowed to grow and develop without constant comparison to mens football. We never criticise the best female athletes because they run the 100m slower than the men, or the high jump record is less than the mens. We acknowledge them as champions in their own right.
There's nothing wrong with high scoring games or aggregate scores of 8-5 etc. It's entertaining in its own right.
I will say this, hibs have had plenty keepers where I'd love to have made the goals smaller... or removed them altogether.

Just announced that the top league will change to 12 teams and no relegation this season. A stupid decision that really wont help the game. The idea that a team like Boroughmuir Thistle could be in the top league is madness.
I think about 5 years ago? Used to be hibs 23s, Celtic also, maybe Spartans too. The idea was the NPL 19s would replace that but that’s been a shambles. Again far too many teams. At the moment all the good young players either sit on the bench and get 10 mins here and there or go on loan to teams that play awful football. But the smaller teams won’t accept the move back to colts that as they only care about the team they run and not the development of the game.
Colts teams still caused issues as teams won leagues and then it sometimes the 4th or 5th best team getting promoted.
It does seem what happened quite a few years ago was working fine and brining through young players.
Now teams like Rangers seem to be stock piling players and like you say loaning them but getting rubbish coaching and playing in a relegation scrap.
Regarding Hibs - is the plan still to move to Meadowbank ?
Getting an absolute hiding tonight. The defence and goalie are all over the shop.
embarrassing one for the women tonight
Partick Thistle 4 Hibernian 2
couple of poor results recently
Very poor tonight. You build a team from the back.
thing is they've been pretty competitive in the games against those three, apart from the hammering last week at Parkhead  it's harder to criticise the women over the men but i have noticed they do have a few players that will simply not play at a higher level than where they're at
doesn't get any easier with rangers Away up next, then...
Partick away again
Hamilton- H
Aberdeen- H
Hamilton- A
Glasgow city- H
i still think they will hold on to 4th, next season will see Hearts, Aberdeen and Spartans getting stronger, it's going to be a battle to stay best of the rest
Totally agree. The players are slipping up too often and kaing hard work of other games, and from what I've seen it's not because they aren't putting a shift in or don't have the quality.
Craig Fowler was saying similar on the Terrace a few weeks back. His selections and tactics boggle the mind sometimes
Hibernian Woman becoming full time according to Maloney.
Let’s see what that actually means. I’d expect a big change in the squad of they are going truly full time.
I'm guessing there will be players like Amy Muir who are studying and we wouldn't want to lose but who may not want to give up their studies (fair enough). Has Eilidh Adams left school yet? I think Cav is a PE teacher.
Best scenario would be a mix of full time and part time contracts?
I think so - I'd imagine (just guessing) the salary on offer might not be enough for some of the older players who might have a well paid job to sign up - maybe a part-time contract would suit them better. For the younger players it would appeal more - Adams and Livingstone are still school age so combining with further study (if that's what they want) could be the way to go.

"Keeping players like Micky shows the ambition of the club moving forward. Traditionally players of Michaela’s quality would attract interest of clubs down south but the changes at the club mean players want to stay here for the foreseeable future."
no surprise with the hammering today tbf
Rangers 5 Hibernian 0
Partick Thistle 0 Celtic 2
Aberdeen 0 Heartz 1
Motherwell 0 Hamilton 1
Spartans 0 Glasgow City 4
our women should still hang on for 4th imo, next season will be a lot tougher
five remaining games for Hibernian
A- Partick Thistle
H- Hamilton
H- Aberdeen
A- Hamilton
H- Glasgow City
Checked the table and fixtures and fourth does look reasonably safe.
Aberdeen (6 behind, 5 to play) still have Rangers and Glasgow City to play, and Spartans (8 behind, 4 to play) still have Glasgow City and Celtic.
That's Leah Eddie put pen to paper on a deal now. Great to see there's more of an effort to keep the talent and assets than before.
Barcelona beat Wolfsburg 5-1(oh oh) in the 1st leg of the Champions League SF in front of a record 91,648 for a women's game
quite astonishing
Barcelona 5-1 Wolfsburg: Barca thrash Wolfsburg and set new crowd record for women's game - BBC Sport
back to the Tony Macaroni today, scene of yesterdays crime :agree:
anyway, Hibernian v Hamilton a home win would mean Aberdeen needing to win all their four remaining games whilst overturning a huge + 32 GD in Hibs favour
game is on recast
1-1 at HT
2-2 hibs equalised in added time against the basement side
i've watched the womens sides for several years but i have never saw so many passes going to absolutely no one, crosses getting kicked straight out
if it's the pitch to blame then move for next season but i'm really not too sure the pitch can be blamed when a pass from 10 yards goes every direction instead of the player it's meant for
That pitch is woeful but we've lost quality players, Boyle is pregnant, Joelle towards the end of her career and all as the uglies have taken things more seriously and put money into their teams/going professional.
I have to say I don't think we've been the same level off the park since Chris then Grant moved on.
and the only hibs player that could actually find a player in the same team with a pass when she came on, as i said...not too sure how much can be blamed on the pitch, the 2nd hamilton goal came from an absurd pass back towards our own penalty box.
Aberdeen and our city neighbours will be better next season
Signed Crystal Thomas, previously of Washington Spirit and Orlando Pride (I imagine that's actually a good thing on this occasion 😂).
Looks like it could be a bit of a coup for Hibs Women 🤞🤞
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crystal_Thomas
Our women's team have been busy with signings lately - McGregor and Notley in the last few days as well.
Hoping Cavanagh is next.
Think the team have signed 14 players in recent times with 9 of them leaving. Seems a pretty scattergun approach at times.
Really bad result at the weekend against Hamilton to add to the other poor results. They should have lost against Hamilton too. Can’t see the team progressing unless they find new coaching staff sadly.
I believe in the past she's said she'd drop it if to go pro if that was possible. Going after her dream. Hopefully we can do enough to incentivise her to stay here.
Good news about Eilidh Adams signing too. Not a massive surprise of course, she might be a bigger Hibby than all of us!
Seeing on IG that Amy Muir and Emily Mutch are graduating from uni.
I wouldn't be surprised if Muir might had suitors. Unless they also plan to go into post-grad education for teaching etc.
Is that confirmed for Hibs (or as close as can be without an actual announcement)? They're pretty much going pro for a lot of the girls?
Teachers start at about what, just under 30k? You might get players who would be prepared to chance it for a couple seasons, especially if they have a profession like teaching in the bank to go back to. I also know part-time teachers though so both could be possible
Hibs v Aberdeen at the Tony Macaroni about to start on recast
rangers v Glasgow city on BBC Alba, Glasgow on the verge of losing that streak of 14 years straight league championships
1-0 Hibs 15 mins
30 mins, appalling attempt at a pass back by the hibs number 6(or 2 couldn't make it out) and it's 1-1
37 mins, hibs corner is tapped in and clearly over the line and the referee gives another corner, commentator questions the referees eye site, anyway...resulting 2nd corner and hibs score....nae luck referee 2-1
52 mins OG 3-1
57 mins 4-1
meanwhile down south chelsea pip arsenal by a point to win a 3rd successive title
cuthbert scoring one in a 4-2 win v man u
I don't think she sees it early enough, for the 4th one she didn't get back into position in time.
Looked like a great game though, and great goals. Brilliant finish by Erin Cuthbert.

Dean Gibson has signed a two year extension.
His comments surely can only mean we'll be publicly announcing we've went pro?
looking here Match Centre - Park's Motor Group Scottish Women's Premier League (womenspremierleague.co.uk) i presume there's relegation and a play-off ? if so Partick Thistle and Hearts 2nd bottom and level on points, both playing tonight then meet each other in the league season finale this sunday
Keeping 2 leagues.
Becoming more like the mens leagues by the day - making same mistakes.
Top league no relegation - obviously top teams voted for this to save themselves going down.
Swpl 2 - 8 teams - not enough. Again no relegation - Stirling Uni should have been relegated twice now but have survived.
Rangers and Celtic to win the league for the foreseeable future - rest to play for 3rd onwards. Will get very boring and Rangers and Celtic will moan no competition in Scotland.
Can’t believe Hibs have given the coach Gibson a new deal as they have become worse. Probably cheap option again as the team have become worse. Hearts women supposedly looking for new coach as the Head Coach will be leaving.
a 12 team top league is crazy for the women's game. There just isnt the quality available for that to work. Just make it 10 and 14, then a simple 2 up 2 down.
If we are announcing we've went pro, I'm willing to give Gibson a year to see how he does with a more level playing field (although I wouldn't be sad to see a new coach come in either). Only really fair way to see if he is any good, or if he's been doing the best he can over a transition period. Although if he'd stop tinkering with the formation and line-up so much that would be very much appreciated.
I think a lot of our fortunes recently come down to a) team going through a transition while 'lesser' teams improve and b) the teams who we want to see as direct competitors being fitter and having the luxury of full-time training. The latter is something Cav stated in an interview a few months back, when she's played against them she hasn't felt they had more quality, just more practice.
We have a really good team here, will be exciting to see what it's like next season.
I’m sure I read that they’re at least having the split earlier than the mens league. So it’ll be home and away against everyone then the same against your half of the split. That’s actually better at the minute surely as it means the full time teams will only be hammering the teams at the bottom twice.
Yes that’s better post split. But we are in a situation that BTFC could get promoted this weekend. They would be on the end of thrashings every single week even post split if that happens. There are not enough quality teams in Scotland to justify expanding the top league. I was at Spartans 19s v BTFC 19s last night BTFC had 5 first team players involved. Embarrassing stuff. The system is a joke right now and needs ripped up and started again.
scores on the doors today
Celtic 1 Rangers 3
Hamilton 1 Spartans 2
Hearts 3 Partick Thistle 0
Hibernian 0 Glasgow city 0
Motherwell 3 Aberdeen 2
so, Hibs finish 4th, 14 points ahead of 5th place Aberdeen
Glasgow clubs will be out of sight next season imo so it will be interesting to see if Hibs can stay best of the rest
one game left this season Celtic v Glasgow city in the SC final
Dundee utd and Glasgow Woman come up for next season
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0c6fngx
Smally on the most recent Behind the Goals podcast. Talking a lot about Hibs' plans for next season, among other things incl. recent family adjustments with Martin being in Saudi.
So looks like a hybrid model for next season! Full-time players will be in 5 days a week training as a team :greengrin:greengrin
She's hopeful if we can have a prolific goal scorer then we can start challenging again. Hopefully we've signed one in Crystal Thomas.
Sad to see Gabby English leave (retired from playing), but have to say could be another great signing as her replacement
Welcome to the club Benne!

didn't realise Amy Gallacher had joined celtic
Busy day for the women.
5 forwards in the squad now. Really looking forwards to seeing what they can do next season.
Gibson will have to produce the goods.
https://www.hibernianfc.co.uk/articl...cZAEv---emmHcA
Another in the door!
Ava Kuyken, 20 years old midfielder with 18 games for Bristol last season. Sounds like another that could be a coup for us.
At the moment, I'm looking forwards far more to seeing the women than the men (not a dig at the men, they just haven't really done any business).
Poppy Lawson signing for Hibs. Current Man U u21 captain. Certainly bringing in the players for the new season. She’s another midfielder.
