nice to see a return of the stone cold classic ‘beggars belief’
Printable View
It would be nice to think that we’d hear in future from more clubs/ towns/ countries who decide that the aggro and bollocks that goes with hosting a few thousand huns just isn’t worth the hassle.
Let’s wait and see if they will reimburse their fans who lose money as gesture of two-way loyalty. Beggars belief that they won’t. :greengrin
Maybe the Lyon officials had seen a video of The Rangers supporters at... any away match at all.
(In fact, Lyon Hibs: did you have anything to do with this..?)
Anyway, a close call for the residents of Lyon. They can now relax and enjoy their week. If only we could have banned them from Edinburgh last week.
If only Edinburgh had Festivals at different times of the year to give us a reason to ban them from Easter Road....
It jist beggars Belief whatever it is. Such a shame but can understand any town with a family event ongoing banning them numbskulls.
:dummytit:
No Huns in Lyon. Not wanted :bye::sauzee::lolrangers:
Half past 1 in the afternoon and Rangers fans are now allowed to attend. Absolutely mental to change their minds at this time.

Hope the French polis skelp them all around the city.
Emmanuel Macron has been barred from Ibrox.
Up to their knees in christmas lights.

As an aside, see King wants back on the board, so things must be bad
Everytime I see this thread appear I'm always disappointed to find out they've not gone pop again.

MSM catching up.

Looks like more delaying and disruption tactics incoming. I feel there must be a negative story coming along in need of deflection 🤔. That’s when these stories usually appear is it not?

It's a very clever tactic.
There is no chance that a properly constituted court of law, following due process and legal precedent will ever award them a penalty or give Ryan Porteous a retrospective red card because slippy steve says so but they've got a fighting chance that the compliance officer is a hun.
Get them to make favourable noises for the huns to highlight what an injustice it all is and what does an actual court decision matter? Unless of course it's in their favour .

At least, if this develops over the next three weeks, we’ll have something to keep us entertained 🤞🏻
I see they are entering in to big celebrations marking the first “major European club” to reach a 150th anniversary.
They go way beyond self-aggrandisement, you could say they are the quintessential exponents of it.
This new mob, sevco, will go to all extremes to try and convince people that The Rangers Football Club plc did not go defunct in 2012.
Of course they did. The dugs in the street knew.
The old club is brown bread, deceased, late, gone,no more and finito !
So...
55=1
150=10
Possibly due to the exploits of The Famous Five sides that won 3 titles and had great success playing clubs from other nations in friendlies, touring, etc led to the invite
The Coronation Cup as well may have caught their attention to Hibernian.
Her Madge must have enjoyed two Scottish clubs founded by Irishman competing for Her Trophy.
We were certainly seen as one of Europe's prestigous clubs at that time..
Strangely ,Chelsea were invited, but under pressure from EFL, who saw the tournament as a" distraction to the domestic game",withdrew from the invitation !
Now they cannot get enough European football !!
Don't do walking away, except obviously when its debts and liabilities and the history that went with the entity they were walking away from.
Reincarnation of the now defunct Glasgow rangers. One Petrol pump cup and one title that involved colossal debt, again.

Yes, indeed they were ,Aberdeen too.
Aberdeen declined for same reasons as Chelsea.
But the tournament was basically by invitation, not mandatory for league champions
Not all partipants were their own domestic league champions.
It was a great success and our club added to that .
Pity television was not as it is now.
Some terrific teams played... world class players ....and plenty goals !
Harry Swan was correct, where many others were not.
It was not a gimmick ....and it did catch on !!
On topic
thank goodness the zombies were not there.
We wouldn't hear the end of it
Edit
I might add
Uncles and older cousins of my family believe had the tournament began a few years earlier,we would have won it !!
The FF were in decline, yet still made the semi final.
Did this guy sanction all the EBT's. :greengrinAttachment 25460

Gordon Grier loses his civil case against the Crown Office and Police Scotland.
How an earth can the crown admit liability to malicious prosecution in all the other cases and then claim Grier’s cases was not malicious ?
The judge adds insult to injury by saying it would not be appropriate to identify any reasons for crowns decision.
What happened to justice being seen to be done ?
Hope it’s appealed.
Dunno, but you do realise it’s us taxpayers that are funding all this don’t you?
£10m each to Duff and Phelps, over £6m from all of us to Charles Green. Craig Whyte walks free after seemingly using club income to fund his takeover, saying he didn’t, and getting away with it.
Personally I’m glad we’re not paying huge sums to another of these charlatans.
Then just be happy that another dirty hun hasn't added to the cost to taxpayers rather than attempt to pin blame on the Blessed Nicola & Co.
There will be a public enquiry to look at who is responsible & whoever they are they should be nailed to the nearest tree.
Rumoured Prince Andrew will join The Rangers Management Team in the next week -that way he can keep his titles .!

Grier appealing court decision , no surprise there.
They’ve spent £100 in 6 and a half years

The article gives the impression that this sort of dialogue goes on all the time. If that's right, why does this example get coverage?
