Surely the compliance officer just says ‘sorry, but this is a commercial dispute way beyond my remit?’

    It’s a farce.
You're right, I can see Sevco demanding an apology and the compliance officer saying sorry

In reality I'd like to think the compliance officer would say this is sub judicial and that its beyond their remit regardless.

I see they are entering in to big celebrations marking the first “major European club” to reach a 150th anniversary.
They go way beyond self-aggrandisement, you could say they are the quintessential exponents of it.

they’ll go all out on the 150 year stuff… overcompensating for the fact that it’s really only their 10th birthday.

Seem to have forgotten Nottingham Forest , 2 European Cups and founded in 1865.

Has any other "major" European clubs fans ransacked more major European city centres than fans of the now defunct Glasgow rangers? Maybe that's what they should be celebrating.

    Oh aye, and Nottingham Forest......

This new mob, sevco, will go to all extremes to try and convince people that The Rangers Football Club plc did not go defunct in 2012.

Of course they did. The dugs in the street knew.

The old club is brown bread, deceased, late, gone,no more and finito !
    So...

    55=1

    150=10

Also wonder if their version of European football history will include the fact that the original Rangers refused to take part in the inaugural European Championship and it was us who took their place and got to the Semi finals.

Aberdeen were never invited. The invites went out before the season ended, when Aberdeen were 2nd in the League. Hibs were the only Scottish team invited by L'Quippe, when FIFA took the tourney over they invited Hibs too - se we were invited twice.

Possibly due to the exploits of The Famous Five sides that won 3 titles and had great success playing clubs from other nations in friendlies, touring, etc led to the invite

The Coronation Cup as well may have caught their attention to Hibernian.
Her Madge must have enjoyed two Scottish clubs founded by Irishman competing for Her Trophy.
We were certainly seen as one of Europe's prestigous clubs at that time..

Strangely ,Chelsea were invited, but under pressure from EFL, who saw the tournament as a" distraction to the domestic game",withdrew from the invitation !
Now they cannot get enough European football !!

    Hi Zombies..
Don't do walking away, except obviously when its debts and liabilities and the history that went with the entity they were walking away from.

Reincarnation of the now defunct Glasgow rangers. One Petrol pump cup and one title that involved colossal debt, again.

Yes, indeed they were ,Aberdeen too.
Aberdeen declined for same reasons as Chelsea.
But the tournament was basically by invitation, not mandatory for league champions

Not all partipants were their own domestic league champions.
It was a great success and our club added to that .
Pity television was not as it is now.
Some terrific teams played... world class players ....and plenty goals !

Harry Swan was correct, where many others were not.

It was not a gimmick ....and it did catch on !!

    On topic
thank goodness the zombies were not there.
We wouldn't hear the end of it

    Edit
    I might add
Uncles and older cousins of my family believe had the tournament began a few years earlier,we would have won it !!

The FF were in decline, yet still made the semi final.

How an earth can the crown admit liability to malicious prosecution in all the other cases and then claim Grier’s cases was not malicious ?

The judge adds insult to injury by saying it would not be appropriate to identify any reasons for crowns decision.

What happened to justice being seen to be done ?

    Hope it’s appealed.

Scored against us in a cup final.

Dunno, but you do realise it’s us taxpayers that are funding all this don’t you?

£10m each to Duff and Phelps, over £6m from all of us to Charles Green. Craig Whyte walks free after seemingly using club income to fund his takeover, saying he didn’t, and getting away with it.

Personally I’m glad we’re not paying huge sums to another of these charlatans.

I think they were separate cases. It was possible to maliciously prosecute Greens alleged wrongdoing but that was long after prosecuting Whites.

I know us tax payers foot the bill but it’s our Scottish Government that appointed clowns at the top of our legal tree and have a minister supposedly supervising the operation of Police Scotland.
