Cast at the Barrowlands in November

There's a subway station car park next door. On the left as you're looking at the building.
Be wary, though. It uses ANPR (or something beyond my comprehension), and that doesn't work too well if people drive up to the gate too quickly. So it can take a while to get out.
Heading to the Cathouse Glasgow right now to see Blacktop Mojo and Shamans Harvest.
Michale Kiwanka at the Usher Hall last week - what a show
Jason Donovan tonight :greengrin
Wonderful gig from Katherine Priddy at Oran Mor last night.

Those Damn Crows at La Belle Angelle last night was absolutely awesome, blew the roof off, an incredible live rock band.
Lola Young on Wednesday in Glasgow for me
Salt House tomorrow. Woohoo!
The Blockheads are playing The Mac Arts on Thursday night , I'm thinking of going if it doesn't clash with a hospital appointment I'm waiting to hear about
The Blockheads were fantastic , the fact that yesterday was the anniversary of Ian Dury's passing made it even more special . Decent support from The Rooks who come from Hamilton
Two dayer Scarborough Punk Weekend for me this weekend. Booked it ages ago so was always going to miss a game. Wee bit gutted that it is St Johnstone at home given the form that we are in
My Bloody Valentine announced dates pity it’s the hydro up here.
Lola Young was brilliant the other night
Andy Fairweather Low tonight.
Saw Primal Scream at the Usher Hall last night.
Overall, a good show. We were under the overhang of the balcony so struggled to understand what Bobby Gillespie was saying (strangely enough, could make out the words when he sang them). The band were tight, great guitarist.
There was a mid-point lull and I was getting a bit bored, but it picked up again and he got the place rocking.
Baxter Dury (ian's son) was support. He was decent, but a tad one dimensional. Certainly gave it plenty in his delivery, but would perhaps benefit from a more varied pace and a bit of his old man's humour.
EXTC -(XTC's Terry Chambers and friends) tonight in Gala
Me and the Mrs went to see andre Rieu tonight, not my thing at all but was a good night fair enjoyed it
EXTC where superb , another great night in Mac Arts not the biggest crowd but still pretty decent and I'm sure everyone enjoyed themselves .
Former Beautiful South singer Briana Corrigan is there on Friday night
Got tickets for Chappell Roan in Edinburgh
Got last minute tickets to see The Temperance Movement at the Barrowlands last night, it was a sell out and we tried initially for tickets, amazing gig and some energy from Phil Campbell the singer.
Wet Leg next month at the Usher Hall.
Really looking forward to this as my 18yo daughter is coming as well.
It really feels like gigs have taken a marked jump in price lately.
Was hoping to go see Refused at SWG3, and Real Friends supporting New Found Glory at the O2 Academy later this year but tickets were £53 and £45 respectively!
This was already after I'd shopped out £110 for 2 tickets to see Ice Nine Kills at the Hydro in December.
Anyone know if there’s any decent parking spots near the Barrowlands? Parked at the tower block before but I’m sure that bit has now gone!
Cheers
You can pretty much park out the front of the Barrowlands - the entire road along from it toward High St always has spaces and it's free after 6pm.
We usually go round the back streets never any issues around there. There’s also a small car park on the street to the left when facing the barra’s.
I got standing tickets for Wet Leg at the Usher Hall too. .Net night out!
The Enemy are playing Portobello town hall in November.
Should be quite a night. Presale on today (skiddle)
Got Wrest at the Old Fruit Market coming up on 25th. Other than that just Biffy at Trnsmt booked in.
Going to try and get tickets for Idlewild at PJs on the door as it sold out too fast for me, and I'm expecting some Twilight Sad shows which I'll be at.
Thanks for the Barras parking tips!
Brooke Combe on Saturday!
I just got tickets to see The Divine Comedy.
I've seen them before and they were great.
The Flaming Lips next week at The Usher Hall then Leftfield at The Barrowlands in June.
Both gigs will include songs I would put in my top 10.
James and the Cold Gun at thr Garage Attic this Sunday, good post punk band from Wales, seen them support a couple of times
The Micky9s on Saturday night in Gala at The MacArts centre , looking forward to seeing these guys again
If anyone wants two tickets to Wrest tomorrow night we can't make it so they are free to a good home.
Going to see Alabama 3 tonight.
I've no idea what to expect.
Space on Saturday night then Gun on Thursday night both at MacArts in Galashiels
James just announced Edinburgh O2 on 22nd of this month. Gutted I’m away so can’t make it.
The Flaming Lips were unreal at the usher hall
It was
Inflatables, costumes, massive screen and a giant balloon saying F*** Yeah Edinburgh thrown into the crowd at the end
Loads of confetti that was everywhere. I swear I saw some on Duke Street yesterday that I wouldn’t the surprised was from someone at the gig
Going to see The Pogues at Barrowlands tomorrow night. 40 years since ‘Rum, Sodomy and the Lash.’
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Glasgow in December booked.
The Pogues gig was brilliant. Only 3 original members but the guest musicians and singers were absolutely top quality. I hadn’t been to Barrowlands in 35 years for a gig and it hasn’t changed a bit. Great venue.
