Got you :aok: I was thinking of it back to front

Live on Channel 5 now, Tom Welland on the undercard for Charlie Edward’s European title fight
Big fight tonight - could be a classic - Beterbiev v Bivol.
Can't call a winner on this - guy with a 100% ko record against a guy with an excellent technical style.
Eubank pretty poor but done the job and then goes all WWE with Benn
Some punch by Wardley. I was worried he'd killed him for a second.
Wish they would just get on with it and get the fighters out
Can Wardley not come back out and punch some of these "singers"
Finally here we go!
do one Saudi Arabia
in fact
do two
anyway, i think Bivol will win
both very good boxers
Beterbiev starting to control the fight now
beterbiev finishing very strongly
great fight i think beterbiev has it
Bivol by a whisker imo it's about punches landed rather than thrown
Beterbiev shades it for me
That's absolutely awful score cards ridiculous 116-112 ffs war criminal Kaderov in the ring must have done the business
Bivol ran out of steam last 2-3 rounds not sure about the 116-112 though tbf
beterbiev far more aggressive in those rounds
Beterbiev is a monster, Bivol started well but then didn't do enough in the 2nd half of the fight
both boxing guru's saying scoring was ridiculous
I'd have understood a draw but a judge saying Bivol only won 4 rounds is unbelievable. I've tried and i can't find a Boxing pro on twitter that said Beterbiev won. Is what it is, you see these cards every few months in boxing nowadays. Hopefully they run it back two great fighters

Boxing is so terrible

Draw at best for me, Bivol did not deserve to lose

I’ve got Bivol winning that! The last round was so close again but I just feel Bivol landed the better shots all
night long

I thought bivol but, it is what it is.

Judges again. Great fight. I had Bivol slightly. These scorecards are ridiculous as always

What a fight two high level operators at their best, I had Bivol personally
Harry Hunt
There’s no bigger Beterbiev fan than me and that was one of the worst robberies I’ve ever seen in Boxing
I had bivol winning by 2 rounds, can't see how one judge had it by 4 rounds to beterbiev but shouldn't really be shocked. Currently watching the card from Tokyo, the fighters coming from Japan at the minute are pretty amazing
Mental that Kadyrov was in the ring after the fight. Isn’t he a war criminal?
I had Beterbiev winning by 1 but there was so many close rounds.
Catterall returns tonight against Prograis. Interested to see how he does without the emotion of the Taylor fight
Prograis only lost twice. Against Taylor and last time out against Haney but is 35 now
Ring walks imminent for anyone tempted
five years ago today Josh Taylor beat Prograis to become the unified champion
Dazn
Catterall is spending most of his time running away  trying to tire prograis oot
think it's close though
prograis gets a count in the 9th
Catterall ahead now
Double knockdown from Catterall in the 9th will win it for him if it goes the distance
Bellew needs to stay off the Ching with his scorecards, been close but JC will never lose a close fight ever again
Misses half the fight thought it didn't start until 1030 😀
UD for Catterall- 117-108, 116-109, 116-109
All the scorecards were too wide for me there, was a competitive fight and no danger did JC win by that wide a margin
Fair play to Catterall. Don’t mind him at all. Good boxer!
Cards were too wide but it was clear. I think Taylor was fortunate to have Prograis and Ramirez to unify. Catterall has beaten Taylor and Prograis and is still many multiple levels below Haney, Lopez and Garcia.
I was at the Steve Bunce podcast recording last night that was held in the old behind the goals. I've never been there since it was renovated and it's looking great. There must have been over 100 in the audience and Josh Taylor came across really well compared to the angry swearing Josh sometimes seen in press conferences. Nice relaxed setting and Hibs had the bars open so people could get a drink. I think the podcast comes out either tomorrow or this weekend.

It was a great night. Nearly 300 tickets were snapped up, well over 200 in attendance. Thought Josh came across very well. Plenty fire in the belly still. Interesting to hear Hibs (and Kensell in particular) are in regular contact with Josh re putting on a fight at ER.
Mike Tyson v Jake Paul WTF.
I never paid much attention but some documentary appeared on my Netflix. I know nothing about this Jake Paul character but seems he used to be a YouTuber. I am guessing Mike Tyson needs the cash.
Josh Taylor calls for Jack Catterall trilogy as Scotland star eyes conclusive end to bitter boxing rivalry
Taylor has called for a 3rd fight claiming it can "put an end to their bitter boxing feud once and for all"
Catterall won both times and moved on :agree:
i'm sure money isn't the real motivation
He didn't call him out. I was there, he was asked about the fights and his feelings towards him now the dust has settled. He mentioned that a 3rd fight could be an option but Jack was rightly going after a world title now. He mentioned that it was 1-1 so a decider would be good. I have no doubt Catterall has no interest in fighting Josh again. Josh did say, a 3rd fight could happen in the future if it suited them both....if either or both had belts. The crowd and Buncy (surprisingly IMO) seemed very keen on a third fight. Bunce had Josh winning the first fight incidentally
He is moving on but will be asked about Catterall probably until he gets another significant dance partner. He was actually quite funny. You could tell he was trying to be more respectful when talking about the 2 fights and Catterall as a person and fighter. He was calling him Jack and being fairly complimentary. Said he doesn't hate him.....he doesn't know him personally to hate him. He couldn't help slipping in a wee "he's still an ********" though :tee hee:
Interested to see his next move. Hearn, Warren or Shalom? Get on a 5v5 card and he’s right back in the big time
Not a huge fan of Netflix’s presentation of the card tonight. Too many non-boxing pundits, though admittedly I only turned it on part way through the Barrios vs Ramos fight.
The constant “I’d like to thank Netflix” is as annoying as the “I’d like to thank His Excellency” nonsense.
Tell you what, some scrap this Taylor - Serrano fight! Both just tearing into each other.
Thought they would’ve stopped it for that cut.
That eye is just flapping about there…eeekk
This is a clown show. Obnoxious YouTuber vs near pensioner.
Watched Serrano Taylor fight just now, brilliant, well over 100 punches landed a round. Has to be a third fight.
Watched the embarrassment after it, thankfully just fast forwarded it to the start and then barely watched the pantomime.
Coverage was awful from what I saw. WWE commentators, talking about other events on Netflix during the fight
Just watched it, of course it was a farse i think we all knew what would happen but there was that nagging thought that Tyson might catch him and knock him out.
I have to say i did think it was a real fight, both men went for it, but Tyson just did not have the legs, which at 58 of course he did not have the legs.
He has a biting fixation. :faf:
Tony Bellew is clearly positioning himself to be next to jump on the Paul money train.
At 6 years retired he'll probably have to wait a while yet.
People say this stuff is killing boxing but with guys like Hearn, Mayweather, Tyson and so on willing to get on board then boxing only has itself to blame. When you look at the figures the fight is said to have done then it's clear people want to watch it. Mayweather himself used to say it: people pay to hopefully watch me lose, whatever their reasons I still get their money.
What a card.

Usyk v Fury 2 up coming.
What can Fury do differently in order to win? If he's more aggressive, he also becomes more vulnerable to Usyk's counter attacking style.
I thought the last fight was close, but Usyk was the clear winner.
I'm on a night out on Saturday and wondering if there will be pubs showing the fight near the city centre, Cask and Barrel maybe? Suppose I could phone a few and check.
The last fight reminded me of the great fights of the 70's. As a laddie I watched Ali v Foreman, Ali v Frazier etc. This fight has the same stature for me.
Usyk is just a phenomenal fighter, he seems almost unbeatable. That said, Fury, despite being a bit of a dick, is very capable and when these big guys collide, anything can happen.
I’ve watched a couple of PPV fights in the Globe on Niddrie street.
I favoured Fury last time although I wanted Usyk to win. I again feel tho like Fury will nick it. Get the feeling we’ll see less dicking around in the ring from him this time.

I thought Fury would win. Felt he was just to big and that he would wear Usyk down. Now wondering what he can do differently, apart from not listening to his Faither's daft advice in rounds 11 and 12.
If Fury tries to be more aggressive, Usyk will counter and take advantage.
Really looking forward to it. Usyk is a great man and a phenomenal boxer. Fury is nuts and also a fantastic fighter. This has the makings of an all time great contest.
I think it will be a great fight. The first was more than decent and Fury was well in it until he got caught in the 9th. He was lucky to survive that and over the piece Usyk was the winner but it was close enough to warrant doing it again.
Fury's preparation has gone a lot better this time. He's been injury free and his wife losing a baby just before the last fight must have had an impact on him mentally. I know he wasn't told about it until afterwards but when she didn't travel over he must have sensed something was up.
For me if he is to win he has to try and draw Usyk in and use that uppercut. It's his best attacking weapon and it is destructive when it lands. I think it will be close but fancy Usyk again by another tight points decision.
Really hoping for a statement win for Lee McGregor. great opportunity for him on the biggest of stages.
The fight is on at the Southsider and the Amber Rose.
Fury weighs in at 20st 1 (albeit fully clothed).
Usyk is 16st 1.
Fans in Ukraine can pay £2.97 to watch pay per view tonight. UK £24.95 so how does that work.
Lee McGregor doing well! Jambo fud but nice too see a scottish fighter doing well!
What we hinking the night ? I'm hoping Usyk knocks Tyson clean oot ! Any roond will dae :aok:
i think fury will win this time he will try smother Usyk against the ropes with his big bulk like he did with Wilder but if Usyk can avoid him for 5/6 rounds i hope he can knock the cant out this time
my expert opinion :greengrin
I like Tyson Fury, was disappointed he lost last time as I genuinely thought he wanted to go out as undefeated heavyweight champion of the world and one of the greats. (Last one Rocky Marciano?) I think this time he will win. He is a proper heavyweight while Usyk is basically a bulked up cruiserweight. If Fury can catch him properly it will be goodnight Usyk.
Fisher is one of the worst boxers I’ve seen for a while. He’s obviously got a bit of talent but his lack of movement is embarrassing. His feet are so planted.
Usyk is as much a heavyweight as anyone was in years gone by. We’re in the era of the super heavyweight now.
Fury can’t be that good if he’s lost to a bulked up cruiser tho eh….
Tbh I can’t stand fury. I appreciate his boxing ability but there is no likeable characteristics about him whatsoever.

I quite like him, after what we went through and his struggles with his mental health etc. I like how he still lives in Morecambe Bay and his charity work, he donated his entire purse for one of the Wilder fights to UK Charities helping people with addictions.
Yes he was not on his game last time, hoping it's the opposite of that tonight.
I’ll be honest, I think he speaks sh**. I don’t believe that about donating his purse, and it’s been questioned by folk in the business.
He’s said a lot of horrible stuff in the past and blanks anyone when they question him on it.

Harsh but I think fury is all talk. Don’t want to call him a fraud but there is no doubt he is where he is due to his mouth.
Usyk as a character and a boxer is a different league, Fury has size and weight advantage.
Fury looks ‘serious’ and in he zone which makes me worried.
Praying Usyk wins but I think Fury might do it.
Well, that was quick! Never heard of Itauma before.
Not heard much of this 19 years old Moses Itauma but that was some 1st round knockout.
Moses Itauma is only 19! He looks some prospect.
