Beale bulleted at Sunderland after 12 games. Johnsonesque.
Just shows you, doesn’t matter how long you’ve been there you are only ever one game away from the sack. It’s not just us, it happens all over. Part and parcel of football
Roy Hodgson steps down as Crystal Palace manager.
Yeah and also took unwell end of September too
Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson missed his team’s Premier League game against Aston Villa on Saturday because he was unwell, the club said.
The 76-year-old Hodgson did not travel to the 3-1 loss at Villa Park, his assistant Paddy McCarthy taking charge in his absence.
“Unfortunately Roy Hodgson was taken unwell earlier today and is not at Villa Park,” Palace said. “Roy sent his best wishes to the team ahead of the match. We send our very best wishes to Roy.”
Beale sacked as Sunderland boss after 12 games.
What a nutjob club they are. Daft to sack Mowbray yes, but 12 games?! Seems absurd.
Glasser appointed at Palace already. Looks like auld Roy got Warburtoned.
Was Hodgson not leaving at the end of the season anyway, I think this new guy was probably taking over then but illness has brought it forward.
The former England boss, who is now out of hospital and is said to be 'doing well', has stood aside to enable the Eagles to 'bring forward their plans for a new manager' following a poor run of results.
Hodgson returned to Palace last March following the sacking of Patrick Vieira and ensured the club's safety in the Premier League.
He was handed a new one-year contract in July but this season has not gone to plan, with Palace 16th in the table ahead of this evening's match against Everton.
The Michael Beale saga gets even funnier...

Tuchel sacked by Bayern Munich after horror run
Live Scores
Xabi Alonso probably available at the end of the season and both Liverpool and Bayern in need of a new coach. Should be an interesting race and I suppose there's the possibility that Real Madrid may not want to miss their chance either. Regardless, he's going to be in demand.

That would appear to be nearer the truth than all the press speculation.
Listening to a German football expert earlier, he's more than likely to go to Bayern as he's very settled in Germany. I don't think Liverpool or Real take a punt on a manager with 18 months (or so) experience as a manager either at a decent level.

Neil Lennon interested in Aberdeen job .

Of course he is. He's after any job he deems big enough for him. His media mates will see to him getting a mention for anything that catches his eye. They should just give him it, couldn't be worse than the three previous incumbents, short term boost, long term fail. Rinse and repeat.
Did he apply for the Huns job when Beale got sacked?
According to Wiki:
"It can range in length from eight feet (2.4 metres), to over eighteen feet (5.5 metres). A quant is used not only to propel craft, but also to steer them by acting as a rudder. The operator of the quant can stick the quant behind the barge or punt to determine the direction of travel."
So quite variable. I guess it would depend on the depth of the waterway you were using it on. Got to reach the bottom, but no point having 10 feet of heavy and unwieldy pole above your head, raising your centre of gravity and making your punt less stable.
Is Lennon just at the 8 foot barge pole length, or all the way to 18 feet?
At the moment yes, but given 1) Australia is presently granted entrance into the Euro-vision Song Contest, and 2) a large number of clubs in the Europa League are from countries not geographically in Europe, I trust it will happen in time. It just needs some political will, and some deep pockets.
Neil Warnock to Sheff U if Wilder gets Sack lol
In a hypothetical world, Lennon with the Black Knight investment would be totally box office.
Certainly Marciano and Ambrose were upgrades on the cup winning side. Bogdan too. Scott Allan was hardly some excellent work by Lennon. But he got good form out of him.
Flo and Maclaren were great for that 5 months. Both pretty average after.
Whittaker a good player yeah, not sure he was an improvement on Gray though. Barker unbelievably overrated imo. Slivka was miles better Lennon signing for us than the 5 or so games Barker was interested in.
Brian Graham, Chris Humphrey, Neal Eardly, Brian McLean, Danny Swanson, Big Dave, Rherras, Nelom, Mavrias, Bigirimana, Ageyepong, and Hydeman were flops. Let's not talk about what a mess Stokes 3rd coming turned into.
Lennon was good for us adding a few bodies to a Scottish cup winning side. He struggled big time when the core of that side (Daz, Mcginn, Hanlon, Mcgeouch, Gray, Lewis) left or aged.
Nelom for me was when it was obvious Lennon had no idea what he was doing. Former Dutch international must've been on a decent wage. He played 3 games in total. Sort of signing the old firm make every season.
Warnock away it must be Lennon you would think
Hopefully the Don's players get a boost from this news and beat Dundee midweek. After that, they can vanish without a trace IMO unless anything they do impacts us favourably.
Watford sack their manger.
Omg Lennon relegating Aberdeen would be two birds with one stone; Aberdeen get to suffer like we have AND we never hear him touted for the Hibs job again!
Heard from an Aberdeen fan that Michael O'Neill is getting it after the two friendlies coming up
