He had a great first season for them, really hard to get the ball off, dribbler and ser piece taker as well iirc. Clearly learnt good habits at Liverpool. Last season after he signed permanently he was a bit of a disappointment according to aberdeen fans, only 3 goals but he didnt get much help from the team overall. Usually the smallest player on the pitch. He was excellent against us at ER.Quote:

What England do have is two sitting midfielders who play deep and very competent full backs in one on one situations which makes them solid defensively. Saka and Foden play high and wide. Or in Foden's case he was asked to play wide up to the Holland game where he was given a free role.

Spain play the modern game how I think it's meant to be played. Loads of passing but it's all with a bit of purpose, loads of movement, trying to move the opposition and get them to lose their discipline. It's not just pass, pass, pass to nowhere with an insistence 'but we are keeping possession'.

For all the hype around Foden and Bellingham I think Saka has been close to England's best player in this tournament.
Really solid defensively and looks their best outball going forward. He looks the most likely to make something happen for them tonight thus far.
So far Foden has been stinking, given the ball away cheaply a good few times now.
