Edinburgh’s population is increasing by approximately 1 percent per year, 10 percent over 10 years. If Hibs have similar growth in attendances we should be planning ahead, for better facilities and a bigger stadium.
Does anybody have any stats on figures, such as how many fans Hearts have as opposed to us, or is it just somebody on here's opinion that they have more than us?
I think we will see a return of half the south stand open to Hibs fans for next season with the good feel factor at the club, obviously Hearts will get the full stand, would be nice to cut the allocation of the Huns again like the last game of the season and even Celtic.
In which case the fact that their average attendance of home fans more often than not exceeds ours must mean your average Hearts fan is more loyal to their club than your average Hibs fan.
Can't remember who the club was ... think it was a Spanish one ... who allegedly sent a message to their fanbase asking them to have more children. Maybe Hibs should try that :greengrin
If our average attendance increases by 10% over the next 10 years then in 10 years our stadium will still be big enough, albeit a bit tight for some people getting derby tickets.
Let's see what we're looking like in six or seven years time. Until then, or until there's a number of years of continuous success, there's no need to think of expanding
