Did Leggat not pull his blog under threat of legal action. Quite the most bitter read I'd ever seen on a football blog.:agree:

I only raised the McMurdo blog as I was surprised how quicly things had turned against the new Rangers regime.

Is that possibly in relation to football fans in the West of Scotland?

I have a few mates who support Morton and St Mirren and most of them seem to have a preference for an Old Firm team as a second team.

Some hate the OF with a passion though.

Most of the The Rangers inclined ones have turned their support back towards their local team over the past few years though. Pleasing, as they say.


(I'm trying to be devil's advocate here as much as anything, I think it is a staggering statement. I can't remember a time that Rangers weren't despised by every fan of every other team other than some through in the West and some clowns down South who support similarly odious clubs.)

I think you're right Spike and if Leggat isn't in a padded cell with nice rubber walls then God help us all.

There are some decent Rangers folk out in cyberspace but the well known bloggers and the Forum types do tend to be nutters.

As an aside I'm just listening to Keith Jackson of the ****** relating the whole sorry mess to an Australian audience. It's actually one of the best summaries I've heard and totally lacking in the agenda bullsh*t that the bloggers peddle.

Whilst there's more than a touch of 'wise after the event' about Jackson, I still find him easier to listen to than obvious agenda nutter bigots like McMurdo or Phil.

I don't see the point of The Rangers going into admin again, unless the present board are being patsies for someone else, currently unconnected to the club. If they went under again, the current board couldn't be part of a "The The Rangers" in the future, so, if it was to happen again, to dump all of the Mash contracts, who's being lined up to benefit?

Think you're confusing this with the previous situation, where the old Rangers went into liquidation.

If Sevco Huns go into administration, can they make players redundant as a way to end their overpaid contracts? And if so, could they also end the Sports Direct contracts that Ashley holds?

Thanks guys. Most of the contracts will be up in the summer, so that's probably not a big issue. The second bit could be slightly worrying though. And they'll need the concept of "soap" explained to them.

DK being a director of RFC lays him open to prosecution, as he is potentially disqualified, having been a director of a company in liquidation with a similar name.

I am guessing that this application is to try and have that law set aside in his case. As Spike says, if he is successful, he can use the Court approval as a way of supporting his SFA application.

I hope, though, that the judge asks him pertinent questions, like "where is the money coming from?" and "where's your NOMAD?".

I think they might if their shares become worthless. The fans groups at the moment think they have bought some measure of influence with their shares.

At this stage they are in the top 4.......however there is a really tough spell of games for all the 'rest' and they are in realistic danger of either missing out on top 4, or being at risk in the play-offs.

I'm starting to think that King is thinking of an admin event......next season, dare I say it, could be a league with Hibs, The Rangers, and St Mirren/M'well......with The Rangers far 'stronger' financially if they take an admin hit and survive the league this season, they would be in decent shape next season with a new manager and new players ?

So apparently the 5 Newcastle players are costing Rangers £1000 each per week, so theyve already cost them C.£40k. Also, Rangers are renting 5 flats for the Newcaslte players, and 2 of them have never even been to Scotland yet.

Is the real plan to get The Rangers delisted, away from the scrutiny and regulation that it entails, then under the cloak of relative secrecy Mr King to suddenly find investment from unnamed sources and to return to the David Murray way of running a loss making company? If I had a spare house I'd bet it on THIS being the case - King was never out of the media before taking them over and now he's went all 'Howard Hughes' ??. 5 minutes after they're delisted, he'll magically re-appear with a big wad of cash with, as said, NO details of where it came from. Media-scrutiny won't bother him as there won't be any !

In that situation, it would only take 1 accountant, lawyer or similar to do their job and SOCA (or whatever they're calling themselves these days) would be duty bound to investigate.

Didn't read the article just assumed they would need nearer the five million There must be other plans afoot so no doubt all will be revealed in due course .King probably consulting with The powers that be to see exactly what he will get away with .

Seems pretty clear the loan from the three bears is for a total of £ 1.5 million.

This is to give them " time to solve their long term funding issues."
