Those suggesting players give the refs more grief are well off the mark. One of the reasons my kids drifted away from football was the appalling behaviour from ignorant parents and coaches on the touchline who would try to referee the games themselves. It really is embarrassing seeing kids being brought up to believe it's OK to give the ref such levels of abuse. Anyone who gives up their time to referee games at a lower level is clearly doing so solely for the love of the game. Showing one you tube clip doesn't alter the fact that rugby doesn't even come close to football in the sheer amount of simulation/ cheating and the blood capsule was 14 years ago so hardly current news. How Haaland wasn't sent off or at least booked speaks volumes about where the power lies.
