I just can't take the Jamie character seriously at all and given he is pushed as the main antagonist it makes it hard to get into. He's just too needy, snivelling and pitiful to be taken seriously.

To be fair the actor plays the part perfectly, just a shame they gave him such thin gruel to work with.
I think that’s one of the main points to of the drama, the weak son trying to live up to be like his father and failing miserably. He plays the part perfectly in my opinion.Quote:

Anyone watching Celebrity Big Brother? I know he needed to go for the combination of the homophobia, sexual comments and then trying to have a square go with Chris Hughes but it is't the same without Mickey Rourke. It was pretty much cringe every time he opened his mouth which made it compulsive viewing. Also found it interesting that his homophobia seemed to be only against lesbians. He seemed to be OK with gay men, albeit he did use the 'F' word usually associated as a slur against gay men but it was directed towards a gay woman.
I quite like Chris Hughes but it is a bit of a bizarre relationship he has with JoJo.
Just finished watching Playing Nice on STV player, it has James Norton in it. It’s about 2 babies swapped at birth. I really enjoyed it.

Toxic Town on Netflix, I don’t remember the actual scandal but a great watch.
Watching Reunion on iplayer just now.
Difficult to summarise but it’s centred around a deaf dude coming out of prison and dealing with his mistakes and his past.
Absolutely brilliant acting, the daughter in particular, with the actors doing BSL through many of the scenes and a real punchy storyline.
Proper original stuff that’s highly recommended.
I enjoyed it too, even if the ending was pretty obvious from quite early on. I agree about the lassie that played the daughter, a fine performance.Quote:

I've not done mainland China but have been to Hong Kong. The chicken feet brought back some fond memories. I actually quite liked eating them.
We can't wait for the Indian legs of the race. We're going to India later in the year and when we found out Race Across the World was going there we held off booking the stuff inbetween the flights in and out in case we got some inspiration.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned previously , I've been watching The Brokenwood mysteries . It's New Zealand's version of Midsummer Murders. There's never a normal death to be investigated by Shepherd and his team but they always seem to get there , there's also a fair bit of humour in the episodes , nothing to heavy and a different story every week
This city is ours was ok , Decent enough but never had me on the edge of my seat
The Bay on stv player a solid 10/10 . Season 5 that was ,The ending left me thinking their may be 1 or 2 faces not returning for a season 6 indeed if we even get one
Halfway through Get Millie Black on All4, been very good so far.
