I’m going to watch Yellowstone and drink red wine tonight and not watch a single second of the Trump s***show.

Let’s change the name of the Irish Sea!
Well, the good news is that we're about 20 seconds nearer to that utter prick leaving office than we were when I opened this thread and decided to post something.
I’m not sure if I’ve got the terminology correct but I think he said he was going to annex Greenland. Is that not a bit like Putin’s attack on Ukraine.
I'm sure there is an reasonable and explainable context to this wee gesture from one of the oligarchs

Based on his recent sh**housery I reckon he knows exactly what he's doing or trolling.
Independent also running with it as are many other mainstream news outlets.

awww poor wee Lizzie she wanted so much to be there Blow for Donald Trump's 'Tory toadies' Liz Truss and Priti Patel after huge inauguration change
Is it just me or is some of the Trumpesque bending of the truth by his opponents just playing right into his hands? All over Twitter right now that Trump 'just admitted he rigged the election' with some carefully selected and edited video footage as proof.
It's utter bollocks, in the context of the whole speech what he actually said is clear. He's an idiot but not that thick. It all just looks a bit desperate and sad. There will be plenty to criticise him for in the years to come without just making stuff up. He'll just cry 'fake news' (which it is) and his supporters will lap it up as further proof of the plot against him.
Dunno. But it could be, maybe, a way of getting round political donation rules; the disclaimer on Trumps made the point, several times, that it had nothing to do with politics. Means foreigners can give him money too. It was suggested that that's what the gold watches / trainers and all the other tat was about.
Or maybe trying to promote the sector, like Queen Victoria getting on a train. His new techie bffs would probably like something back for their money.
Trump withdraws from Paris Climate Agreement, Again
alongside Iran, Libya and Yemen as the only countries in the world outside the 2015 pact.
he also plans to withdraw from the World Health Organization
just signed an executive order pardoning 1,500 Jan 6th insurrectionists, he's releasing criminals
Mehdi Hasan on X: "Donald Trump plans to try and end birthright citizenship via executive order. He can't. The 14th Amendment is very clear on this, as is Supreme Court precedent. Watch & share my explainer: https://t.co/nhe87yVKoM" / X
i didn't watch ANY of the circus today but looks here like he's off his frikkin face Jim Stewartson, Antifascist *☠️ on X: "Messianic psychopathy fueled by ketamine — and reinforced by an impenetrable bubble of cultish sycophancy — is a hell of a drug. The Frankenstein of unregulated capitalism officially has its Monster. https://t.co/FYY5TL9QOi" / X
. One of Trump’s first moves as president is to release
1,600 capitol rioters pardoned. Priorities.
It's funny how obviously repulsed Trump's wife is by him.
In the video of them dancing at the inauguration ball she visibly flinches when he leans in towards her and she looks about as comfortable as Ian Paisley in the Vatican.
Great news.
An executive order has been signed to rename the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America and to change Denali back to Mount McKinley.
'Getting so much done in the first 12 hours' says Musk. The obvious benefits of these two moves to your average rust belt American are obvious. Prosperity and streets paved with gold are surely only a few days away. It's good to see a President tackling the big issues of the day.
Day one looks like most of the 4 years previously. Lots of flashing of signature, very little effect on anyone in America.
Some immigration changes but until he funds the enforcement part it won’t change much. Every thing else was just nonsense.
For the average American, life hasn’t changed one bit.
Until he works out how to get things through Congress I guess Americans will just need to get used to these performative signature sessions again.
