i agree that it doesn't make sense from our perspective, but i think the trust in the Democrats to do anything is so low that they'd almost rather have someone who is at least honest about things like the middle east, and also just a general FU to the whole system...i don't think America is particularly over that phase (nor are we)...if people wouldn't vote against their interests the world would be a much better place!Quote:

a good example of this kind of admittedly daft thinking would be when Innocent smoothies were partially bought be Coke. I found them so irritating and cutesy and cloying that I didn't buy them, but when they 'sold out to the man', I felt a kind of relief, like "aaah, i kneeeeeeew you were full of s****", and started buying them. I'm not saying it makes sense, I'm just saying people can, do and will think like that when they really shouldn't.
