Hearts staff told all cuts will be made by end of play today (per the live feed - cheers for that Sergey)
Ryan Stevenson - I wonder..............
Erm, hi darling, it's me... I erm, don't have good news........
Administrators told staff they hope to retain majority of playing staff. But some will need to be sold.

Those staff who do keep their jobs have been told there can be no guarantee when they will receive pay
Andrew Chambers@stvAndyC Hearts staff told all cuts will be made by end of play today. #HMFC
Not nice to see anybody loose their jobs in the current climate.
Administrators told staff that they hope to meet with one of the parties interested in buying the club today.
This is the bit Idont get......why would anyone BUY a player from hearts knowing full well if they dont, they would be able to pick them up for free in a week or 2 any way? Add to the fact they actually dont have many, if any, players worth a bean......BDO should do the hounorable thing and just padlock the gates tonight and be done with it.
anyone know who the potential buyer is?
They need to find a hefty amount of cash to pay their own fees (these guys do not come cheap) and THEN they need to find a hefty amount of cash to keep the Yams running day to day. I reckon they may quickly come to theconclusion that liquidation is the only option. :greengrin
I don't think so - however, I am not sure what the situation is if the administrator tries to rip up their contracts and get them to accept lower wages (and also maybe write off any overdue wages/bonuses).
Edit: I'm not sure if the above scenarios could constitute constructive dismissal.
Ian Murray MP was on the last plane up from Heathrow last night. Bound to be him and the rest of FoH. Bet they announce ticket sales for Hibs game immediately to get cash through the door with a begging bowl to sell the stock in the shop. By the way anyone seen the container ship full of strips yet?
Am guessing admin staff, shop workers, groundsman, maintenance guys and so on wont be on alot of wages. Probably nothing more than £1300 per month. They are going to have to dig alot deeper than that to free some pennies up.
Sounds like BDO are preparing to start asking the fans to bankroll the club to keep the admin going.
Which will mean even less cash for FoH...
Gary Locke just left Tynecastle. Staff who've received the worst possible news also leaving. Tough times for all concerned
Indeed. And given their constitution has been based on a standard one by Supporters' Direct - then it may be ultra viries of FoH to use funds raised for one purpose to be spent on another. They don't have any directors yet either, so I'm not sure how they can make such a decision.
They'd also be better off letting the oldco go to the wall as soon as possible - as it would be far cheaper to start from scratch.
There's so much I Told You So to throw about this week. Absolutely magic.
Vlad has pissed all over them and the only person of a maroon persuasion to enjoy it would most likely be Gary Locke.
This.
I've been made redundant before. We had lost a major contract and the staff affected had to re-interview with the business to see who would be retained in other positions. I was given the one temporary job of completing the work under the contract. Even with the cushion of that notice period and it being at a reasonably kind time of life to happen (young, semi-skilled, no family), it was easily the worst day I have had in my life.
Christ knows what some of those folk are going through now, some may have worked for them for decades and may not have transferrable skills to other employers. Particularly in a tougher economic environment. I genuinely wish the Hearts employees who are made redundant today every good luck in their future efforts.
So a bunch of staff will be laid off today (sad times for most of them we should note).
I suspect a few players will be amongst that, if 'Cap'n Zal' is indeed under contract to August he'll presumably be first out the door, along with anyone else that is deemed to have no sell on value.
BDO claim to be meeting a buyer later today, must surely be FoH, which will be a very short meeting where that tube of an MP will babble on about converting pledges and £4million a month, but not having any money right now. BDO will presumably then firm up their statement from today about needing the fans to bankroll the club till a buyer can be found, if there's enough donations then this farce staggers on till the next big bill turns up, if not then it's straight to liquidation.
Does that sound about right as a likely sequence of events?
Could be a short meeting then.
Bryan Jackson - Show us the colour of your money
Ian Murray - em well, we've got this website likesy, and I've done a powerpoint for when we go to see the banks
Bryan Jackson - Mr Mackie, what's your role in this.
Alex Mackie - What me, I'm just here to listen and hope people forget I was ever involved.
Bryan Jackson - Thanks, we'll let you know.
Expect Ian murray to come out with a positive and constructive meeting type statement.

http://www.coveritlive.com/templates...itter_bird.pngSad to see Hearts staff being made redundant today. I think even Hibs would agree this should never happen! People have Families to support!
I just don't see any good news for them. "Right you can have our pledges to that are 6 weeks away from being collected to keep the club afloat in the short term and not what the money was originally pledged for. And then can we agree a price for the club from those same pledges that are a month and a half away from being gathered less any money that has been used in the short term"
Are the grunts calling him"Mr Jackson" yet?
Just gone on Kickback for the first time during this debacle - I cannot believe the thread entitled 'All this worry. Worth it?'. The vast majority are actually suggesting that their current situation is 'worth it' for the 2 cups and the 2nd place finish. What, worth destroying people's livelihoods? Worth the very possible extinction of your club and its 139 year history? Worth losing your spiritual home?
I'm stunned.
When does the transfer window open, 1st July? They need funds to see them through the next 11 days - like yesterday - and pay the administrators.
I can't see that they will survive, and suspect this will be the quickest football admin - liquidation in history.
Not nice that anyone has lost their job, but bizarrely few seem to blame Romanov!
The best I can say for them is that perhaps the Rangers administration has given a false impression of what administration is like. I say that because most fans, whose clubs have not been previously been affected by it, would only have paid much attention to the process when it happened to them. That was a complete fix and a farce of an administration. It was all pre-agreed and pre-planned, with the scheme only scuppered to any meaningful extent by the "no to newco" campaign.
Unfortunately for the ordinary folk who work for Hearts, this is not typically the case anywhere else.

Hahaha, should have done that about 8 years ago to be honest.
Spineless wimps.
It's not nice but Hearts fans themselves think its all worth it. I suppose that includes seemingly innocent members of their staff losing their jobs. This is part of what they have encouraged and enjoyed to win a couple of cups. Perhaps the sight of normal punters leaving their jobs later will change their worth it stance. Doubt it though.
Sad to see anyone lose there jobs.
i wonder if Ian murray MP will console these people
by telling them it was worth it?
i wonder if the wetoldyesothinkback mob can see the irony yet
of boasting about all this being worth it,yet on the same hand
condem job losses?
to the people who have lost there jobs today
i and most hibbys wish you well in seeking employment.
I think almost every recent club administration has given almost every football fan a false impression. I can't recall many if any clubs since Airdrie and Aldershot going boom. Administration is to football fans what bankruptcy is to normal people on the street. We all think it's a get out clause, a chance to rid ourselves of debt without much come back. The reality is, it's a major pain up the arse unless you happen to be Rangers. Even if they exit admin, Dundee is proof that it's easy to slip back into the red.
To be fair, in 1990 when the news broke about Mercer's take over, I and many others headed straight for the stadium as we wanted to hear what was going on. There was a virtual vigil for the entire time it was going on. Nowadays, you're better being at home with your laptop and Sky Sports News.
Has BAnderson had his 1-1 with the administrator yet?:cb
STV news now.
BDO were only installed yesterday. Now less than 24 hours later they're saying it's the worst they've ever seen and making people redundant.
That's pretty fast going - bearing in mind the amount of paperwork they'd need to look at to get a semblance of what their true financial state is? But this seems to me like they've taken one look at the accounts and said the games a bogey.
Do any of our finance experts know what's typical?
Although Rangers fans were mocked for their behaviour at the time at least they showed a bit of solidarity and disgust at how their club had been run.
Hearts seem to accept it as though it's an occupational hazard of being a "big team". Sacrificing your club to beat Hibs for a few years isn't worthy of some sort of protest or show of defiance that they will get through their current problems? Truly a pathetic support who view themselves as above the passion and emotion which football is famed and admired for.
It's doesn't bode well for whatever happens to them. If they end up as a newco, it seems like they will be lucky to get the die-hards going along every week to watch them in division 3. Rangers are a huge club in comparison to Hearts and they wont have their resources to achieve back-to-back promotions like Sevco surely will.
They have no cash; not on hand (in bank) or any income coming in.
The short-term is a huge issue for them, I also envisage liquidation probably one of the quickest we will ever see.
Though, this has been forecasted on here a long time ago (that once the games a bogey, liquidation will quickly follow admin).
If FOH and some pledges, is their only 'credible' potential buyer, I can see the lights being put out pretty soon.
We shall see, but it looks like game over to most of us ?
Suggestion is 10 non-playing staff have been made redundant. No players affected (yet).
I suspect this is because a) the players aren't due to be paid again until mid July and b) they will hope to sell some of them in the meantime. The other staff were due to be paid on Monday.
Yeah think that is right, players have to go without wages for 3 consecutive months before they can leave the club, they can also take the case up with FIFA to try to recover there wages :greengrin and the contract that is due to them.
Kris Boyd done this when in Turkey.

See all these years we've been waiting for them to implode, did nobody realise that jobs would be lost. I think the crocodile tears for those heading to the buroo are a bridge too far.
Lets get back to enjoying the cartoon, and not be too worried about people having pianos dropping on them. If you really care about them heading out the door help them find a job. I'd be surprised if they didn't see this coming.
All the bile they spout over on that Keekback it solely to hide their sheer seethe and misery. Deep down they are really hurting but are posting mince to try and hide the fact! Effing roasters!!!
and then they charge for their services:-
£3.3m for der huns

and £1.5m for Portsmouth

Must confess I have done the same for the first time. It is unbelievable the amount of bravado, posturing, lack of basic intelligence and absolute garbage on there. Compared to here where there are clearly some seriously informed people as to what this actually means for them as well as less financially astute guys like me
The first step in recovering from being F****d is to admit you have a problem in the first place. I'm not seeing that amongst that lot at all. It's all 5-1, 1902 and I'd still rather be a Jambo.
People are now losing their jobs and these incredulous, arrogant oafs played their part in it by their lack of action and their fragile egos about their position in Scottish football.
I've taken some delight in their plight I admit but felt a little for them. After reading that stuff on KB? Let them rot.
They won't liquidate it immediately because they won't have to pay any bills immediately, because any bills received before yesterday will fall into the black hole. They do have to generate some income to pay the bills that will come in from now and will become payable during July.
Gary Locke to speak tomorrow....
About what!!????
If FOH pump the cash collected into a (futile) attempt to keep Hearts from liquidation this will surely impact on their ability to raise funds to launch the Newco. It will also reduce the time that they have to get a new club registered.
This could mean that any replacement club will miss out on the 2013-14 season completely. Division Three (or SPFL Two) will then be presumably be ruled out as the Lowland League will feed into the SPFL system. Thus any Hearts Newco would have to come into the Lowland League or even the East of Scotland League.
Whilst I have sympathy for those "normal" staff who have lost their jobs ( I have been in their positions), you have to be honest and say that this has been on the cards for years. Anyone who chose to work for that joke of a club in the last few years only has themselves to blame. Similarly, those who have been there longer than the last 8 or 9 years have had plenty time to look elsewhere for alternative, more secure employment. We all slated the Tattooed Lady for going back to Hearts, are the non-playing staff exempt from the same criticism?
