One side: We want to systemically purge all races except white people.
Centrist: I do not agree with what you say but I will defend to my death your right to say it.
Other side: We want what that side said to not happen.
Centrist: I cannot tell these people apart - they are literally as bad as each other!
I see he has given Turkey the go ahead to march into Syria and go full steam against the Kurds, throwing the Kurds under the bus and going against his promise to not have Turkish activity in the border region in Syria.
Erdogan sat back and let ISIS have free reign to advance in Syria, but he has no hesitation in crossing the border to give it to the Kurds.

I read that the Kurds have 10,000 ISIS fighters in detention, what a masterstroke it is to leave them behind and then give Turkey the green light to do as they wish, disaster waiting to happen.
He's Twitter comments on this are unbelievable, telling everyone it's up to Turkey, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Russia etc to sort this **** out now as he / the US is done with it.
Yep, all hell about to break loose for a Tower -
https://www.newsweek.com/ivanka-trum...oversy-1463536
The more I read on it the more peeved off I am.
After losing 11,000 people in the battle against ISIS and being the ones who initiated the fight back against them (while Turkey sat on it's arse), Trump convinced the Kurds to pull back their defenses from the Turkish border and begin to give up weaponry, only to then abandon them and give the go ahead to Turkey to get stuck in, leaving the Kurds to face losing thousands more while having to continue to detain 10k ISIS fighters by themselves.
When Lindsey Graham speaks out so strongly against a Trump decision, you know something has gone seriously wrong.
:crazy:Quote:
Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
As I have stated strongly before, and just to reiterate, if Turkey does anything that I, in my great and unmatched wisdom, consider to be off limits, I will totally destroy and obliterate the Economy of Turkey (I’ve done before!). They must, with Europe and others, watch over...
Videos of alleged bombings of Kurdish positions on Twitter already being posted.
Turkey has officially started it's campaign with airstrikes raining down on norther Syria now and troops crossing the border, alongside this the Kurds have initiated a "general mobilization" with civilians being called up for a potential war.
Trump has blood on his hands.
I know he'd already lost it, but jesus, he's beyond it now,

"Trump on the Kurds: "They didn't help us in the Second World War, they didn't help us with Normandy." He says they're only interested in fighting for "their land." He adds, "With all of that being said, we like the Kurds.""
At least after all this we’ll surely never have to listen to Americans going on about their amazing constitution again. If it can’t get rid of this clear criminal and national security threat then it’s not fit for purpose.

Absolutely. I'm no expert, but it seems to me that of all the different groups and nations in the middle east who have appeared on my telly in the last 40 years the Kurds seem to be the most sane, a people who from what I have seen appear to actually genuinely believe in democracy and equality for their people male or female.
What Trump has done here is one of his more shameful acts, absolutely shafting a people who were integral to the defeat of what the US saw as a 'clear and present danger' to US interests abroad and its internal security. Why would anybody trust the US while that moron is in charge? To think this is the guy the Brexit fanatics are pinning their hopes on for a fair trade deal post Brexit because of some fantasy of a special relationship.
Folk in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia must be ****ting themselves right now ... after Trumps justification for betraying the Kurds Putin is probably revving up the tanks as I type in the sure and certain knowledge that the US will in all likelyhood do sod all to help NATO if they move on the Baltic states.
Latest Trump tweet...
"Big day of negotiations with China. They want to make a deal, but do I? I meet with the Vice Premier tomorrow at The White House."
It's not a game of Wheel of ***** Fortune....
The Kurds didn’t help us in ww2 ? He might care to remember that the USA were ‘nutrual until 1941 and only entered the war when a German u-boat sunk an American destroyer. Men like JFK’s dad, Joe we’re dead against it. Then came Pearl Harbour....,,
They'd have had no interest in helping anyone during WW2 until those events happened.
Since they've discovered that their hideous levels of over-consumption can be fuelled by blasting the f*** out of their own soil and gathering the released energy sources they've been a bit less interested about what happens in the Middle East.
They'll be getting involved again when that runs out, or when they elect a leader with at least one decent bone in their body.
Also we shafted the Kurds after the first Gulf War. Invited them to rise up, then did nothing to help them as Saddam cracked down on them. A token “no fly zone”.
Kurds were instrumental in setting up the “2nd front” in the North in the second Gulf War.
Have been the driving force behind destroying ISIS.
Now we turn our back on them as our NATO “ally” Turkey bombs **** out of them.
Shameful. A real low. BTW our special forces are having to pull out also due to not having the US support.
J
Our NATO ally Turkey's president is now threatening Europe with opening the floodgates to Europe for 3.5 million Syrian refugees if Europe so much as criticizes Turkey's military action. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if Erdogan, Trump and Putin are in cahoots, sowing unrest in Europe would suit all 3 of them.
Must be because of Saudi's support at Normandy

I would have thought this was quite a rare thing. The US military is criticising the US presidents decision.

There is no rules or normality when it comes to Trump and his actions.
He’s progressively getting more and more volatile.
This time he’s given Turkey the green light to attack, the very same day saying he will destroy them if they use the green light to do anything...
Reports now that Assad has agreed with the Kurds to send troops to fight with the Kurds to try to prevent the occupation of a number of key towns in northern Syria,
https://twitter.com/BabakTaghvaee/st...26638899531777
ISIS starts up again and Turkey and Syria about to go to war, Trump's outdone himself on this one..
" BREAKING US Def. Sec. claims Turkey is 'likely to expand its attack further South" than planned & that Kurds are trying to ally with Russia & Assad for help. US misled by 1 NATO ally & now its former ally is hooking up with Russia. Diplomatic failure, almost military humiliation."
https://twitter.com/BillNeelyNBC/sta...66039360413696
Stab the Kurds in the back and have them become a Russian ally, Putin didn't even have to lift a finger..
But hey...we've got a couple of Trump Towers in Istanbul...
Asked about the potential threat posed by Isis-related prisoners, he shrugged: “They’re going to be escaping to Europe.”
Helpful to his policy of destabilising the EU as a trading competitor then. Unmatched wisdom :agree:.
11th October - A new book about Trump's behaviour towards women is forthcoming. Twenty-six women make new allegations of sexual assault. One day the full truth will surely be revealed, exposing Trump as a super predator. These things can't remain secret forever.

BBC News - Turkey-Syria offensive: Not our problem, says Donald Trump
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-50075703
He's like a parody; he'd be hilarious if it weren't reality.
Just when you think it can't get more bizarre, you read about his letter to Erdogan and recent meeting with Pelosi and co.
What are people expecting Trump to do in this situation, he did not create the mess in Syria.
Are people really expecting the USA to fight along side the Kurds against a fellow NATO ally in Turkey? Do they want American sons & daughters caught up and being killed in a conflict between the Kurds and the Turks?
Does Turkey not have a right to defend it's border from the Kurds, have the Kurds themselves not occupied territory that is not theirs?
The USA have nothing to gain from maintaining a presence in Syria, especially baring in mind that they are currently in that country illegally.
The real focus should be on the administration who supplied arms and funding to the headchopping extreme Sunny terrorists done so in an effort to topple Assad.
From CNN reporter..
""
Pelosi says Trump told her during meeting that reason he pulled troops out of Syria was because of promise he made on campaign to bring them home.
Pelosi told Trump: “Is Saudi Arabia home?”
Pelosi says Trump responded: Saudis are “paying for it.”
""
That's just delusional to think America will fight against a NATO ally.
I suspect no matter what Trump does he can't do right for wrong. America has nothing to gain from remaining in Syria. It's a local issue and the West should learn their lesson and stop getting involved.
Again the real problem is why were the West lead by Obama arming Jihadist fighters.
Orange Man Bad though!
Have they previously attacked? They are fighting against Turkey now from land that they have stole from Syria.
The correct thing is for Syria to reclaim their land and offer the Kurds protection from Turkey.
The wrong thing to do is for America to get involved in yet another middle eastern conflict that they don't need too.
The Kurdish people are a nationless population chased out of every country, a bit like the Palestinians and Israelis before they were gifted land by great Britain, land that was not Britain's to give.
The situation was stable until the Americans were pulled out with little thought to the consequences, like the freedom for ISIS fighters. Something that you seem to be happy about.
I think this is the key point. I'm no expert on the situation so for all I know it's perfectly appropriate that the USA should withdraw from the region. But surely anyone can see that destabilising such a sensitive environment on a whim instead of as part of a carefully planned withdrawal is madness.
Hence, not for the first time, I'm going to conclude that Slavers defence of the action is motivated by something other than an objective review of the matters at hand.
apparently this is the letter Trump sent Erdogan

Yep, they're basically like gypsies, most live in the eastern parts of Turkey and in countries bordering those parts of Turkey. When I holidayed many times a few years ago, they were treated poorly by the rest of the Turks, they owned some bars and restaurants but were closed down often due to being extorted by the local mayor and his cronies.
The last time I was there in Marmaris, there were 2 explosions a week after I had left, one on a dolmus bus and another in a litter bin near the harbour. A friend who had another week to go told us someone got stabbed on the steps of one of the bigger plusher hotels.
