I'll hazard a guess that once they are mathematically relegated, they'll start selling Championship season tickets, but ring-fence the money for Budgie. BDO will have to arrange cake bakes or go begging from FoH for tide-over cash...something they've already hinted would be agreeable. Then again, if the admin goes to the close season with no rubber stamp or specified date, they might just pull the chain and flush them away.Quote:

Selling Season Tickets whilst still in administration could be perceived as creating a creditor as they cannot guarantee the club will still be around to fulfil their obligation. I don't think they can enter in to a binding agreement with FOH to loan them any money for the same reason.Quote:

Actually, it's the other way round - at least in recent history, not sure about way back when TBH. Bayern München took pity on 1860 München who have a stadium in Grünwalder Strasse that they were unable to renovate or use from 95 onwards; they then played in the Olympic Stadium in Munich on alternate Saturdays sharing with Bayern, before finally moving to the new sort of jointly financed Allianz stadium. Bayern then saved 1860 from insolvency after tales of corruption and financial shenanigans, buying back the 1860 share of the stadium in full, I believe (not really sure) ... some Jordanian businessman has now invested in 1860 München, so maybe better times are ahead for the clubQuote:

How come there is nobody on Kickback that can refute the things on here, without resorting to talking about 5-1? Surely they can do better than talk about Ann Budge like she is an internationally respected businesswoman?
I'm not saying she isn't, it's just that their ability to judge owners had fallen short so often that they must have doubts. Maybe someone that knows about psychology, or who knows a psychologist, or knows someone who has been to a psychologist can help?
I'm more concerned reading on their twitter page that Tam Cowan charges £800 fees to attend events !!

It will be dangerous, but we're talking about desperate people. Keeping the club afloat would be a gamble but the alternative would mean the cesspit being put on the open market, and there's little doubt it would fetch more than Budge and FoH could afford. The gamble is that they get the shares sooner rather than later, and a few hundred grand would be a small price to pay...and a lot cheaper than having to find somewhere to play next season.Quote:

I was out with a mate last night. He has a work colleague who is a big Hibbie. This colleague is from a hibs-supporting family, his dad apparently a big supporter and active with the club.
His aunt, however, is a jambo. And 'poised' to become active in 'that' club.
As a reasonably close family, albeit with split allegiances, this latest development has caused some concern.
The aunt's position is simple -
1. All goes to plan, she's no worse off, has saved her club and is a hero. Queen of herts if you will.
2. DDs all dry up, FoH can't buy the club, she gets it for a song, flogs it to someone else with more money and less sense, makes some cash, saves her club, is a hero, blah, blah, blah.
However. Her plan, under both scenarios 1 and 2 involves her spending not a bolt beyond the 2.5m initial outlay. Regardless of division, and quality of player available.
The family concern is that jonny yam, used to WC stars, will quite quickly expect the aunt to start spending some of her reported 40m pdq. They are worried that the massed hordes will quickly turn on the Queen and her good intentions quickly become a bad decision.
Ultimately, whether this happens, whether she's bothered with the flak is of no interest to me. The words "not a bolt" were all I was interested in.:thumbsup:

They'd be right to be concerned. Had a discussion with a jambo a while back when I claimed Hearts fans just sat back and watched Mercer, The Pieman and Vlad financially dope them beyond all hope. He came back with the fact (and it is) that Hearts fans did protest against both Mercer and The Pieman. On pointing out that they only complained about those two when the financial doping was dropped I didn't get any reply at, all 'cos that is a fact too.Quote:
