I might be totally making this up, but was he not linked with the Hibs job at some point? Rumoured to actually have spoken to us I think.

Charlton sack manager
He was. Well he spoke to the media saying he wanted the job (or his agent did, it made the evening news)
Before LJ was appointed, he was my left field choice. Was probably unrealistic with the World Cup coming up and probably less realistic now after his success in this World Cup but I think he would have been a good appointment. Knows Scottish football well as he spoke about it on a podcast I listened to.
Maybe posted elsewhere but Michael ONeill bask as Norn Ireland boss
Norwich City sack Manager Dean Smith
Goodwin V Lee Johnson who wins the get sacked next challenge then?
Just came on to this thread to post the same thing.
The fact we have a very losable derby coming up shortly in less than a week while Goodwin has a semi final at Hampden to look forward to at the end of the month tips the scale in LJs favour (to be sacked first) but looking at the Aberdeen fans reactions on twitter it’s anyone’s game right now.
I don’t think he gets sacked immediately if he loses the derby but he’s a dead man walking.
If we get pumped then you’re probably right.
Of course there’s still a chance we could win the derby, if he does that he’ll get the January transfer window to improve things.
Aberdeen have home matches v Ross County and St Johnstone before LC semi on 14th / 15th so if league results go badly for them , defeat in semi will put a lot of pressure on Goodwin . If we get rid of LJ in January , I hope we have a caretaker manager till summer and go for a special appointment for next season .
Danny Cowley sacked as manager of Portsmouth after 9 games without a win.
12 out of 24 championship clubs have changed managers since the start of the season
desperation to get to the league of milk and honey
Big Marv leaving Livvy to be new QOS manager.
Roberto Martinez about to become Portugal manager.
Now there's a man with a good agent.
Interesting appointment wonder how he will do with the language though most Portuguese players will have very good English I assume. Wonder if Shaun will get a role there. Be interesting how they do with Ronald situation best for all concerned he retires internationally I would have thought. An amazingly talented squad he has.
Reports that Gerard is in talks to take over the Poland national team job.
They were excellent in 2018. Very unlucky with how good France were then. Don't think he blew anything. He never had the best team at any tournament they were in.
Everton finished 5th with 72 points under him. Clearly struggled after that a bit, but never awful.
Done well with Wigan. They've came nowhere near the things he achieved since.
Belgium might've won something with a different manager, but the one before Martinez certainly wasn't doing better than he did.
Livingston have appointed Christophe Berra as Bartley's replacement .
Would imagine Potter at Chelsea will be away soon.
Graham Potter and the Shoogly Peg.
Good article in todays Scotsman on Jack Ross, have to agree with his thoughts on the so called pundits in Scotland. Interesting that he is still in touch with Ron Gordon as well. says he would perhaps now look at being a Director of Football some place rather than a manager.
They do on the odd occasion have a reasonable story.
Lampard must surely be emptying his locker right now? It's over for him.
Wonder if Klopp is starting to move into shoogily peg territory…
West Ham fans surely losing patience with Moyes. Rice be gone in the summer, is it worth sticking with him for the rebuild (if they are in the PL).
Cardiff sack their manager.
Michael Appleton sacked at Blackpool
Goodwin next you’d have to imagine.
Goodwin surely gone first thing tomorrow
Sounds like a broken man , normally I have sympathy for managers under pressure but not for him though 😁.

Wonder is Goodwin regretting this interview , go to 2:00 to find out :faf:.

I would have thought most managers would have travelled with the team and would be surprised if Goodwin didn't as well though he always came across as a arrogant type of character. Don't really think any of the names here are that great to takeover from him either but that's just my opinion though .

Keeps St Johnston is the SPL and is a double cup winning manager - he is brilliant. The lack of respect football supporters show to the high achievers is really poor. He has had a fantastic career both as a player and a manager. No wonder players and managers think so little of the keyboard warriors.
Mate, your opinion is worth no more or less than mine, so you can ram the keyboard warrior patter.
He had a good first season, aided by levels of luck in tight games that will never be seen again.
Relegation playoff a year later. Currently on a dreadful run. Keeping st Johnstone up really isn't some big achievement in this league. If he is so brilliant, why has no one come in for him like they did McInnes and even Lomas?
Is that every game? Would have thought he may bring his car to games for example if his family is down central belt and he goes home to see them however not every game you wouldn't have thought seems a little odd and exposes his other staff members if they are in the bus.
Lampard must get emptied soon surely??
