His cv is pretty up and down, but he's as good as Dunfermline will get, nothing crazy about it.
A Scottish cup win not that long ago with Inverness.

Won 8 games out of 20 when Ross County looked destined for relegation, including the last 3. Real high pressure, make or break stuff.
Couldn't do it at Raith, but he inherited a team of Gary Locke's old pals from hearts who just seen their man get the sack after slumping into a relegation battle.
I am concerned he may have inherited a poisioned chalice here too though.
I thought that Yogi would have been a better shout to start with than Peter Grant. Might just be perception thing, but for me, Peter Grant has an air of Billy Davies about him. Insinuating that he is doing you a real favour by being your Manager.

Some cracking quotes in there that would certainly back up your assertion re Peter Grant.
Frank Lampard has pulled out of deal to manage Norwich.
Always felt yogi would be an excellent assistant as he can motivate a team, just keep him away from signing players, keep him away from the tactics board and keep him away from the Mike
He should go abroad and coach, all the best coaches have coached in several countries. Somewhere like Italy or Germany would be good for him, he’s a cracking young coach who was very harshly treated at Chelsea. He took over when they weren’t allowed to sign players and did really well, they had a dip in form and the new guy came in and won the champions league with his team. He can do much better than a yo-yo team like Norwich.

Don't really know what Chelsea have to do with it, they're not looking for a new manager. For the record I think Lampard will be a good manager, and I like managers that focus on youth rather than just buying success.
True, I'd forgotten about the embargo in the market, unfortunately Abramovich has previous for getting shot of managers at strange times, I wonder how much that experience at Chelsea has hurt Lampard seeing as he was seen as a god there, it must've been his perfect job.
Depends how he gets on surely?
The very fact that Norwich are destined to be relegated anyway gets Lampard off the hook (unless performances are poor), and he then has the opportunity to get them promoted. The general view was that he did well at Derby in the Championship so this is a chance for him to rebuild his reputation and have his time at Chelsea regarded as being too early in his career.

At least Scunthorpe works now
Kevin Thomson sends a cryptic tweet and now the rumours are he's going to be assistant to GVB at Ibrox.
Attention seeking pish from Thomson, Rangers welcome to him
Couldn't really care less about Thomson these days. He seems to have distanced himself from all things Hibs since he left.

Villa are a big club and will have ambitions to be regular 5-8th Euro spots, maybe Norwich board are fed up being a yoyo club and wanted F arke to make them a solid mid table.
The Smith sacking was a weird one and I thought he had enough in the bank to give till after the January window, Obviously the Norwich board feels the he's good enough, got a hard job there though.
It looks Van Bronckhurst will be announced imminently at The Rangers. He has huge shoes to fill; Gerrard was hero worshipped. GVB will need to make a good start.
GVB announced at The Thes
A new range of orange merchandise can be only days away. Just a tribute to Van Bronckhorst of course. Games at Ibrox already resemble a Dundee United match.
His last game was against us at Ibrox before our Scottish cup final the next week. We got pumped and some dirty ******* spat in my face outside the ground.
Interesting appointment though not convinced it's as big a coup as they are making out.
World class player. Hope he's an abject failure of a manager at them.
It’ll be interesting to see how this appointment affects the game on Sunday. They might get the new manager bounce or, equally, the players might still be reeling from Gerrard walking out on them. I hope we take the game to them and exploit any after effects of their recent unexpected crisis.
Confirmed he’s only attending Sundays match not taking charge. First training session is on Tuesday / game on the Thursday in Europe.
That's going to be a long crawl back to Kelty over all that broken glass for KT, eh?
i wish van whatever his name total failure at the home of the most vile institution in the UK
Silly me, I should have known it would take a matter of minutes, not days.....
