LONDON
HIBS NEWSLETTER
11th
September 2001
The
meeting was very low key due to events in the USA earlier in the day.
Attending
his first meeting was new member Ali Smith.
Apologies:
Tony Connor, Alex Lindsay, Stuart Donald, Pat McKinney and Mike Inglis.
Bill
Garriock announced he was moving to Berwick on Tweed, where as part of
his duties he will be the Liaison Officer to Berwick Rangers. We look
forward to getting Berwick Rangers away in the Scottish Cup next year.
Jimmy
Boco Award
This
months award goes to Alex Lindsay. As the travel organiser for London
Hibs he is always getting our members around Scotland and now Europe. On
the recent Scotland trip having organised the travel for a number of
members he managed to miss his plane to Belgium! Doh!
Membership.
We
now stand at 75 paid up members of which 33 are family and 42 are single
members. This is still down on last year. So if you have not paid your
subs then please do without delay.
Season
Ticket Reminder
In
future the season tickets will not be picked up at the shop. Tony
Connor's brother John will now look after them.
On
normal Saturday match days they can be collected between 1.30pm and
2.30pm at "The Four in Hand Pub". For other matches members
will be contacted direct and given times to meet John. During the match
the tickets can be handed back to John before leaving the stadium so
this will suit our 5.30pm GNER members who have to leg it to Waverley.
There are seven seats together including the four LHSC and three members
who have their own seats. Further information can be obtained from Tony.
The
New London Hibs Lottery:
As
agreed at the last meeting we will run a Lucky London Hibby Lottery.
With a minimum of 1 per week entry, 50% of income being awarded in
weekly prizes and a 4th week a bonus prize being arranged. It was hoped
that enough income would give this prize as a trip to Easter Road
including travel, accommodation and match tickets. Details are here.
