There were thirteen of
us at the meeting (plus a guest
- Steve), which was
held during half time of the Champions league game . Many thanks to the
treasurer for allowing us to have Xmas drinks on the club. There were
apologies from David Smith and Alex Lindsay.
Brain teaser for
the Evening
Firstly Brian set us a question
that evening. "What record did Hearts try to break recently?". See
below for details.

Football Team News
Christmas Party
The Football Team's Christmas party was a big
success, raising over 1200 for team funds... (we're planning to use
some of the proceeds to subsidise an end of season trip to Barcelona to
play in the first ever European Cup for Supporters Clubs - that's
right... always the first into Europe!). Big thanks to all those who
turned out and a big thanks again to the CC-Club in Piccadilly who gave
us the venue for free.
League and Cup form
A run of poor form saw us shed a load of goals
and slump out of both the League Cup and London Cup competitions. Our
league form too has been poor though we're second in the table. We're
not playing to our full potential (the loss of some old heads and the
arrival of a lot of new players mean we've got work to do in getting the
team to gel again) but the league is not out of reach - we just need to
find that missing formula. Looking forward to some cracking games in the
New Year.
London Hibs v Erin Hibs - 29th
December in Edinburgh
The annual Christmas fixture (the first game
between the two clubs took place last Christmas) kicks off at 11am
(venue to be announced) to allow time for a pie and a pint after the
game before heading to Easter Road (v. Aberdeen, 3pm). If you're in
Edinburgh on the 29th come and shout us on! I'll get the venue details
out as soon as I have them...(Ed - keep an eye on the
Londonhibs FC website for details)
---------------------------------------------------------------
Just a reminder if anyone that has not paid
their subs for this year can these be paid ASAP.
Next meeting will be held at the William
Wallace on the 14th January 2003.
Rose
Brian's teaser.
Against Rangers Hearts' half time score was
0-0, however by the final whistle the score was 4-0 to Rangers. Against
Motherwell the half time score was 4-0.
So the Jambo's appeared to lose 8 goals in 90
minutes.
For OUR record to be beaten all the goals have
to be scored in one match.
Sorry guys you will have to do worse to erase
our record.
