18th April 2002
We had the best turn out in months
as there were 15 members in attendance. We had one new member Scott
Donoghue who also plays for the London Hibs football team . There was an
apology from Andrew Murray.
The main topic of the night was the
details of the cup final.
THE DAVE BAISTER CUP

Aberdeen
Kick off - 3pm
Date - Sunday 5th May
Kingsmeadow Stadium,
Jack Goodchild Way,
422a Kingston Road,
Kingston upon Thames,

Kingsmeadow is one of the best
non-league stadiums in the country - it holds over 6,000 and was improved
to Football League standard in 2001.
ENTRY: 2.
DIRECTIONS:
From M25: Exit at junction 10 and
take the A3 to the New Malden/Worcester Park
turn-off into Malden Road (A2043). Follow Malden Road to the
mini-roundabout and turn left into Kingston Road. From here Kingsmeadow is
signposted and is situated approximately 1 mile up the Kingston Road, on
the left-hand side.
From Kingston Centre: Head towards
New Malden via Queen Elizabeth Rd, then London
Road, then right into Cambridge Road towards New Malden. This is the A2043
which then turns into Kingston Road. Kingsmeadow is on the right, just
after a parade of shops.
Train: Norbiton is served every 15
minutes from London Waterloo (Shepperton Strawberry Hill lines). Exit
station via back entrance and take first left onto Norbiton Avenue. Follow
to the end of the road and take a right to reach Kingston Road. Turn left
and the ground is 5 minutes on your right.
Bus: The ground is between Kingston
and New Malden on the 131 bus route.
ITINERARY:
Anyone who wants a place on the
coach must get in touch ASAP - as we are limited to 50 seats.

Breakfast - Joe's Brasserie, Wandsworth Bridge Road, Fulham.
12.45pm - Coach for team and
supporters to the ground, Kingstonians (max, half hour journey).
1.00pm onwards - Supporters enjoy
the sun (we hope) and the delights of Kingstonians facilities (perhaps,
including the bar?).
3.00pm - Cup Final kick off.
5.00pm - Presentation of Cup,
APFSCIL League Trophies (Div 1,2 &3) and winners medals.
5.00pm onwards - celebrations and
more enjoyment of Kingstonians' facilities. 6.00pm - coach takes players
and supporters to Bar Room Bar in Chiswick for evening's festivities.
We have reserved an area within Bar
Room Bar (it has been described as "hip and lively") which will serve food
(pizzas) to those who want. There will be a DJ and inevitably some of the
boys will disgrace themselves on the dance floor... The bar is open until
late (though there will be many options for those who have the stamina to
take the night on further...!).
SUPPORTERS:
Aberdeen already reckon on 150 fans
coming to the game. We want to match them - come and enjoy this great day
out - bring your kids, bring your friends and bring your colours!
Steve Powell the commercial director
at Easter Road will be joining us on the day - and he's currently working
on a few others to see if he can get some more club support. Hibs are
giving us a brand new kit for the final. We've also invited John Collins,
George Best (London based ex-Hibby) and Gordon Strachan to the game...
well, why not?!

The latest from David on the quest
for the double is as follows:
Sunday 21st April Norbury Power
League: Middlesborough 2 v London Hibs 6 A huge game yesterday against the
team everyone considers the best footballing side in the league (along
with London Hibs of course!) - and what a huge performance from the lads.
A win was the only option if we were to keep the pressure on Rangers at
the top of the table.... and we achieved it in style. Starting the second
half at 1-1 the men in green scored three goals in a blistering 5 minutes
to put us completely in charge. Playing on a decent pitch for a change we
were able to show off our footballing skills and always had the Boro boys
on the back foot with our pace and movement. That win - 12 in a row - puts
us on top of the table for the first time this season (check out:
