On Saturday 24
April, 17 members of the club travelled to Edinburgh for the penultimate home game of what
will hopefully be our last ever season in the 1st Division against Morton.
Organised by Alex Lindsay, the group took full advantage of the excellent facilities which
are on offer at Easter Road these days and booked themselves into the Forthview bar for a
few drinks before and after them game and watched the match from the 'black executive'
seats. No atmosphere, but what a view!!
Although not the best game of football seen at Easter Road this season, it was obvious
that the manager was experimenting with the team who did more than enough to ensure that
the result was never in any doubt.
Later that evening a few of our members attended the 'Almond Suite' Player of the Year
presentation which was awarded to Russel Latapy. Although this was their first such
presentation, it was a fantastic evening and seemed to be enjoyed by the 180 or so Hibbies
who had bought their tickets, including Pat Stanton, Alex McLeish, Lawrie Reilly, Tam
Preston, Stuart Lovell, and a few other current players.

It was good to catch up with Pat
Stanton again who said that he had 'thoroughly enjoyed' his weekend in London with our
members. Alex McLeish also spoke with us and said he was wearing his London Hibs
Polo Shirt in Barcelona the week before and that it got quite a bit of attention from
Steve Archibald who he was over there with.
