Overview:
A game at
the fag end of the season, notable only for a good support and another
handsome victory against the team who defeated us in the cup last season.
There was also the promising introduction of 2 new players, which is nice
to know our pulling power even at the end of the season.
It was a
dire game, the surface saw the passing game go to pot early on and the
team looked as if it was going to beer pot in the shape of Billy Bryson
and myself. In the absence of Jim Billy played alongside a solid Rob at
centre; I played up front which should never have happened if the erse who
promised to Dave that he would showed had of. With Gerry Vs abuse from the sideline the team was
inspired to no lows.
The break
in the heavy breathing came when a corner was one on the left and oh so
arrogant Adam Pomaro wanted to take it, instead he was politely told to
get stuffed. I then floated a dam buster of a cross that scrambled over
the near post Gers heid and was swept sweetly into the pokey by Dave
Drysdale weah hey and get it right up ye ya arrogant wee shite 0-1 to
the London Hibs.
The
second goal again from the corner, but with a different man taking it,
also went over the near post numpty defending, the fact he was anchored to
the ground because there was a vice like grip on his gonads may have
hindered his progress result Dave Drysdale who elevated to the highs
of achievement by the Presidents negative man management school of
thoughts, swept the second like the last into the Pokey 2-0.
There
were another two goals scored one by Grant Ross and one by someone else.
The attacks from Rangers produced one goal, this was on the odd occasion
when the defence left John in goal exposed. Otherwise his performance was
excellent when the rest of the team were a mixed bag.
The
classic moment of the game was the final goal this came when Dave
Drysdale knocked a lovely ball into the near post, Adam Pomaro the
arrogant generally lazy one then nipped past their keeper to make it
5-1.

You can
tell by the brevity that this was not the toughest of games, but it was
critical to make us the only team in APFSCIL history to win with a 100%
record. That is what it was all about. Easy once it was done, but hard
getting there. Still it is in the bag now and no one will ever take it
away from you or me.
WELL DONE
 YER SIMPLY THE BEST
See you
at the BALL
