That’ll dae me. The green socks with white band at the top is a proper Hibs strip.

[QUOTE=dmc1875;7984356]Unfortunately it also reminds me of Tim Clancy, Ryan McGivern and Alan Maybury 😂😂[/QUOTE

Those of us of greater maturity have learned to remember the good times and to block out the rest! :greengrin

Being a Hibby is akin to obtaining a degree in philosophy, I've always thought.

Agreed. Looks brilliant imho. Sometimes less is more and I think this looks terrific. I was a big fan of the 2013 kit as well, and this is near identical.

All of it (training kit included) is a bit meh for me.

Just looks like a generic template in Hibs colours.

The bloody Joma signs on the arms are horrible.

There’s a lovely green full zip training top that has the 150th badge on it rather than the HFC that’s on the other training stuff. Praying it doesn’t have Joma splashed across the back of it

There's so many tops from recent years that I would have been well keen on getting me and my son, were it not for the fact we didn't want to look like our names were JOMA.

Ridiculous design requirement, really is.

Agree it is a crazy design. Ruins the tops

Looking at past tops and it looks we wore a similar shade of green in this year's home top, in each year from our first strip up until the 30s

I absolutely love it, and can't wait to get my hands on it. It's a classic looking hibs top with a retro look.

I suspect the third kit might be the sponsorless throwback people were hoping for.

The training q-zip looks nice as well.

Some like and some don't, there's not really a lot you can do with our strip apart from the shade of green and that will be dependent on the age of the punter if you prefer darker or lighter green.

Really like it.

The plain white collar and sleeves are class, faded sponsor is neat, and the only mention of Joma is their logo. Colour is perfect too.

Can't get much more classic Hibs than this.

Like it but feel a let down as 150 year kit. Should be original colours with a subtle sponsor colour scheme on home. Also original badge should have more prominent place even behind new badge in light shade.

I’d have liked a slightly lighter green but other than that it’s perfect. Can we keep it simple like this forever, piss about all you want with away and third kits but that is a Hibs kit. Hopefully wear it with white socks with green turnovers too

White socks on women’s kit?

I think that’s a nod to suggest the socks are interchangeable, but for me the strip looks so much better with the white shorts and socks in the image modelled by the women, making the green top look that little bit lighter.

Really like the home kit, and can see the white socks continue as preferred sock of choice.

Reading comments here maybe still possibility of club offering special shirt for 150th with original harp badge and no sponsors ?
This year was the perfect time for club to test shirt sales without sponsorship . Opportunity wasted and would be a pity if 150th anniversary shirts are spoiled by sponsors logos and / or artificial badge .

There will definitely be a commemorative top. This is the home kit there is no way bevvy would let us not show their logo all season. Its too much of a financial hit not to have a sponsor

I mean they would demand rightly its on the first team top. Im unsure if it'll be on the commemorative top if it is it might be completely the same colour as the strip or not on it at all

Why would bevvy let us not use their logo on a commemorative top?Hopefully because someone in our marketing team made that a condition for renewing deal . A lot of folk who `ve been supporters of our club for many years even if they don`t get to many or any games might be interested in buying a commemorative shirt if without sponsorship . If club have accepted that all 150th shirts etc must include sponsors name then it`s been a massive own goal .

Very very happy with that! Looks like the Tornados top to me.

Interesting to see what they've done with the sponsor's logo, I think it shows they're listening and trying to lessen the visual impact of it.

I like the bottle green for our anniversary season which goes back to the shade of green used in our early strips. Not a fan of the reverse "Ryanair" style Harp on the back and would have preferred a traditional Harp but at least the Club have acknowledged those specific founding origins. That wouldn't have happened under some previous owners in my lifetime and didn't happen for our 100th anniversary.

Overall I think the Club have played it safe which for commercial reasons makes perfect sense. Looking forward to seeing the specific heritage strip that we bring out as the season unfolds.

Was told by a staff member that they don't see it as a worthwhile market, which I find unbelievable.

Just back from the launch… I would say if you like it snug then go for your usual size but if you want a bit of ‘breathing room’ then go a size up.

Oh I know it's the going price but the fans definitely take a hit. Justifying £53 for a top for a six year old isn't easy and prices a hell of a lot of families out.

£30 for a kids top, £40 for a junior kit, £50 for an adults top wouldn't be at all unreasonable IMO.

Not cheap by any stretch but asking nearly £200 for what is essentially 5 garments is very expensive.

That’s quite fair for an adults football top, a full kids kit and an infant kit now. Have a look at the price of the big English clubs jerseys, you’ll greet.

Still hate the 2 sponsors for adults and kids it cheapens the kids strips when your paying a premium imo I’m aware they need to get the best deal they can for the sponsorship they should be trying to get one over the line that can be used across all strips though

Returned (couldn’t exchange due to no XL long sleeve left) my top just now… definitely not a batch issue as I couldn’t see any other sponsors printed off centre…. I spoke with the shop manager and he did say that the sponsors are hand printed at source so unfortunately these things can happen. If it’s something that bothers you then I’d take a close look before purchasing.

On another note, the long sleeve tops are pretty much sold out of the common sizes…. More in stock next week ‘hopefully’

There are smaller versions with the Bevvy sponsor in the store, the XS size looks like it would fit a 7/8 year old.

Thanks, the shop manager also said there’s plenty of online stock both at Hibernian direct and Fanatics (and its partners such as Kitbag). So I could if I wanted to order from them… but 1. I am not desperate to have the shirt today/tomorrow so will wait til it’s in store and forego paying the cost of shipping… which is at least £5… and 2. After the issue I had with my shirt today will feel more comfortable seeing it in person before buying.

EDIT: Just saw that Kitbag is FREE shipping.... might think that one over :)

I said the same yesterday. They’re a small joinery company from Tranent. I can’t assume it’s a massive amount of sponsorship. Looks like a Sunday league strip with that on the front.

I think kids are getting bigger. I bought a Bohemians top online a few years back and the measurements in the size guide suggested I'd be best suited to the age 11-12 size. I thought 'surely not', so I went one up to age 13-14… and it's a bit baggy.

I honestly love the kit the more I see it. Think it's smart and beautiful. The much maligned bevvy logo doesn't bother me at all.

I won't be buying it. Money is tight at the moment and I just can't justify it. But I will look forward to seeing the lads running out in that when the season starts.

I think Hibs were in an impossible position with the kits this summer. They just cannot please everyone. Least of all the forever complaining twitter mob. This kit is a throwback to the tornadoes and that will please many, including me. It's simple, traditional, and dignified. I rarely ask for more than that from a kit.

We'll wait and see what comes out later with the other kits. Love the old HFC logo on the training gear so hopefully that will feature somewhere and everyone will get at least something that they like from the full kit range

If they did replicate that kit for any reason it will be a Hibs kit, based on a kit we’ve used in our past. It will have nothing to do with Celtic. We should have enough confidence in our our history not to worry about that.

It's hardly a significant part of our history though. Iconic kits worth recognising are our very first kit, the Famous Five and the Tornados. In a couple of decades the 2016 kit will be there as well.

Significant or not, it is a kit we wore and has nothing to do with Celtic. If we ever use it, this year or any other, it is because it was a Hibs kit.

From your repeated posts on the subject you seem desperate to justify us wearing green and white hoops when that design was a very brief and insignificant moment in our history.

Compared to the kits I listed, or those worn for other achievements such as our first major trophy (1887 Scottish Cup), hoops make as much sense as having a replica of the 2012 Cup Final kit.

Shirt ordered Thurs morning and has arrived just now. Great for free delivery. Lovely shirt

I got ours today as well wee man’s kit looks quality unfortunately my top was replaced by last seasons away strip in a 6XL, they’ve sorted it and sent me another out but probs won’t be here for my holiday now which is a bit rubbish and they’ve let me keep the tent

I think the Away top to be all white like our first ever kit but with the thistle harp for the badge.

If not on the Away, I certainly think the thistle harp will be used as the badge if we get a special anniversary kit.

He/she is Celtic minded

What is that meant to mean?

I’m talking about the right of the club to recognise any part of its history it wants to. Nothing to do with Celtic.

Sounds a bit like you might have a problem with something, not me.

In recent years it's been Utilita or something professional looking. This year it's a local company and looks totally tinpot.

Sponsor free would be preferable for the amount of money we must be getting for this.

What I've noticed from the historical kits list is that dark green was last worn pre WW2.
All Tornados kits for example are down in a lighter more standard emerald green.
Now I wasn't around in the 70s and nearly all the footage and pictures from that time are in black and white...

Could it be that some auld yins here have a blurred memory in saying the kits were definitely darker back then?

I'd also pay more for a commemorative 150 year version without the sponsor. You'd think that so long as the team are playing games with the sponsor displayed that would be enough to satisfy the sponsor.

Well sh**. Last year's tops are absolutely swimming on me the sizes I got then and I went a couple of sizes down. Good problem to have I guess (and one time will fix hopefully) but I was looking forward to rocking it ASAP. :greengrin

BTW that's one thing I love about the Joma kits, they are cut and sized so much better than the Macron ones which are hideous, was just going through my old kits last night, currently a 2/3XL in normal clothes and the Macron 6xls laughed at me when I tried to put them on, I hope we never go back to them.

Most kits I buy at the moment are L but I went for the XL in the new Hibs shirt…. The L was nice fit but the XL left a little extra breathing room.

On another note I received my replacement today and thankfully the sponsor is correctly aligned, hallelujah!!

2 kids and 1 adults through the door today.

The kids kit looks great, like the sponser and far better for it to be a small, local business than Bevvy.

Speaking of which, Bevvy logo looks great in person, it's very muted with the way it's been done and doesn't stand out anywhere near as much as it would if it were solid white.

Cracking shirts, well done Hibs and everyone involved.

Still think the price is ridiculous but I haven't exactly made a point of not buying them.

That's honking, particularly the daft collar bit which is similar to the daft collar bit on last seasons home top.

Thankfully we'll only have to endure watching us wear it a couple of times then we can park yellow for another 3 or 4 years (or preferably permanently).

I definitely prefer a yellow away kit to purple, every time.

Me too! Loving the look of that one. Reminds me of the Mowbray years and humping Celtic at Parkhead.

Still prefer a white away shirt and hoping there's still one to be released

The yellow le coq one also I think from 99 was smart, wasn't a fan of the material though.

I'm not a fan of yellow but there's levels to it. An all yellow kit is pure rank. Yellow shirt with green shorts and yellow socks (like this one) is better but not great. Yellow short, with green shorts and green socks is nice, and very reminiscent of that pumping we gave the lessers in 2005.

They've missed a trick here by not making the socks the same colour as the shorts.
