Apologies if already posted but that’s the rumour I’ve heard about the strips this season.

Ideally I'd like the home to be all white top, white shorts green socks, but if it's as suggested then there would be a logic that I could get on with - we use the shade of green that we had for years of our early life and add the white sleeves that have been on the journey since the 30s. The anniversary is about the whole 150 years of course, so, yeah, it makes sense.

The hoops though would go against that. Worn for three (?) seasons, that would be a snapshot strip getting special treatment that the original kit isn't getting.

I just find their branding a bit weird.

I would say they sit towards the upper end of the drinks market with the services they provide yet their name reads more like something at the lower end of the market. An odd decision imo.

I'm not convinced they have any longevity as a company but I think they have developed a really good piece of tech and that is what the investors really want. The owners will probably cash out for decent money.

It’s not really possible to tell anything from the micro accounts.

The company is an early stage tech company, it raises money through seed funding rounds. It appears to have closed 2 funding rounds during 2024 for $2.8m.

Their logo will be front and centre on all kits I would expect. The club will be trying to monetise every aspect of our 150th year and that will include sponsorship. I have no problem with the bevvy logo and find it amusing. It wouldn’t surprise me if it becomes quite an iconic retro strip in years to come.

Up in arms is a bit strong, I just think it looks naff. Comments on Hibs recent post on Facebook announcing the continued partnership suggests it’s a view shared by many.

As I say, no qualms with the company itself, or alcohol advertising in general. Looks a decent wee app to be honest. I just think their company name detracts from what have otherwise been some really smart kits from Joma.

I think that's what happens when you try to throw a hundred ideas at something and hope they somehow work as a singular. Far too much going on and totally overdesigned.

I hope that whatever Hibs have done for the commemorative top it's focused on one idea done well. If it's white then make it all white with a special badge, if it's hoops then make it only hoops, if it's 70s style then go with that etc etc. If you try and mix all the different parts of our history it's almost always going to be a mess.

I grudgingly liked the Hearts 150 strip, and it won loads of accolades from people who enthuse about such things such as Classic Football Shirts, because it was as close to a faithful recreation of their first kit as you could hope to get.

Just use a whisky auction site for a real reflection of the value of collections. A wee bit more legwork but much more accurate because it tells you what people are actually willing to pay as opposed to what an app thinks it's worth

It just makes the point that no kit will ever please everyone. One person's 'simple, classic kit' is someone else's 'boring, looks like a training top'. And that's before you consider smaller details that people might dislike (sponsor, collar, trim etc).

Sometimes there seems to be an assumption that a simple kit will be universally popular, but it's just not true.
