Half time at Dens and a chance to recap today’s other games. Interviews with Rodgers, McInnes , Thelin and nothing from Easter Road. Now we might have missed SDG’s interview on the way back to the car but if not , that is bad patter once again.

Totally unsurprising.

I find myself listening to it less and less these days. Even the podcast, which I used to tune in to for every episode is bumped off now.

We have never been, and never will be their priority.

Was forced to resort to Heartsound today. You wouldn't have known we were even playing until we scored a goal. Celtic vs Hearts, Aberdeen vs Motherwell, St Mirren vs Killie and Ayr United vs "Lennon's Dunfermline" were the talking points.

I'm not usually THAT fussed about Sportsound as they're a pile of self-serving fannies, but I'd guarantee a third place Hearts or Aberdeen - especially if 15 games unbeaten - get more airtime than we're currently getting.

Just the usual from the BBC when it comes to Hibs. Took me an hour to get home from Easter Road and didn’t even get to hear a manager interview.

Also, watching the highlights on Sportscene of the Celtic Hearts game. Commentator says “Hearts have only lost 2 in 14, once against Rangers and once against Hibs where they will feel they should’ve taken something from the game”

Should they have? I must’ve missed that. By my recollection they got pumped.

When Aberdeen had their freakish run at the start of the season you'd have been forgiven for thinking we were in 1986 going by their OTT praise. Hibs have since overtaken them despite them having a 26 point head start and eclipsed their mental run with a better one. Barely a mention.

I think hibs could on a European run, win the Scottish cup and league

And the old codgers on their would still say hibs have managed to get their due to poor seasons for Aberdeen and hearts.

I’ve now stopped listening to it as I cannot stand the same old voice, same old twisted opinions on it.

100% something against hibs.

And while folks like miller and bonner are there kitted out in there Aberdeen and Celtic scarfes it will continue to go down hill.

Yesterday was actually weird. Listening to it in the car it was as if Hibs weren't even playing. They were complimentary of Hoiletts goal butdespite Steven McGinn clearly being at Easter Road I think they only went for an update once before full-time.

And even by their standards the repetitive pish was off the scale. Micky Stewart must have said 'theres contact but there's not enough contact to give a penalty ' 5 times. And Leeann is clearly getting some sort of financial bonus the more times she uses the phrase'on the front foot'

They love a bit of this selective arithmetic. Leaving out cup games, draws, focussing in on a home record its quite easy to manipulate a ‘streak’ if you’re a hack.

Except when the streak is something genuinely historic, like ours, one which we havent matched since the late 1940s (so long ago that Hearts had actually won a league cup) it barely gets a mention.

Sure Thompson presenting sportscene came out with Hearts being in great form. I am sure even the most die hard Hearts fan would be struggling to agree. Two huge games for them to get top six. Home to United and away to Motherwell previous fixtures they both lost this season

Its true that our run is really good................but we have (as we know) dropped points to some lesser lights.

The last 10 form table is quite interesting. Rangers and Celtic are still ahead of us (on points won) despite having lost a couple.

And the maroon balloons are - unbelievably - only 3 points behind us over that period despite losses to the top three - because they have beaten the likes of St Mirren, Ross county, Killie.

Only interested in Hibs when they can laugh at us. All they can do now is ignore us as much as possible. Pretty disgusting from a publicly funded station which is meant to be unbiased. I never listen to it myself, don't mind a ribbing when all teams are treated the same which is clearly not the case. Long may they continue to ignore us as it just means we are doing well!

It does happen frequently there's no doubt about it. Why that is you would have to ask the BBC, but it seems just weird on the face of it that we seem to be practically ignored week after week. In fact the only time Hibs are ever mentioned with any regularity is when we are struggling .... a post war record ( or near on it ) of unbeaten games and from last to 3rd in a few months still doesn't get us a mention in front of Motherwell or St Mirren .... never mind Aberdeen or Hearts.

Draws against the poorer teams kills your points total and Hibs have drawn more games than any other team in our league this season.
I looked at it tonight and from memory we have drawn 5 games at home, the same number as Kilmarnock and Ross County.
More painfully we have drawn 7 away games which is more than any other team.

Hibs are clearly the 3rd best team in the league at the moment. Hopefully if we have to have away draws in the remaining games they will come post split against Aberdeen and Hearts.

If we are third, then our points total hasn’t suffered for any such made up reason I would say. Third is a fact, facts speak for themselves, so not sure why anyone beyond supporters of the teams below us would attempt to contradict it.

Good to be a Hibbee isn’t it … would take some weird research of details of stats to feel “painfully” at the moment I feel for sure, don’t you agree ? 💚😊

Suits us. This squad are quietly and professionally outperforming the media darlings Hearts, Aberdeen and Dundee Utd. The BBC will be feeling a bit stupid after thrashing themselves silly over Hearts and Aberdeen in particular start of the season. If Hearts had done what we’d done, there’d be page after page about how Jamestown Analytics have revolutionised the game, their fan ownership model paying off etc etc.

Hibs transformation from rock bottom in Nov has simply been sensational, beating Aberdeen, DUFC, Hearts (twice) and Celtic in the process. Add in the near-sacked, rookie manager, David Gray, and it should be THE story of the season bar none. More impressive than Brenda and his mega-millions Celtic, better than the freaky Dons run, outshining Hearts stuttering recovery, and streets ahead of Rangers mess.

15 unbeaten.

Far from celebrating and analysing it, you sense the BBC just want it to go away.

Normally think Leeann Chrichton talks a lot of sense but the Rocky remark is now past tense and poor from her
The point about Hearts “taking something “ from the Derby?? True , we had some luck but we were always the more likely to win on that occasion.

Rocky comment was indeed a lazy comment last season I can only think of two high profile Rocky errors Shankenheid and an assist for Simon Murray at County apart from those he was generally ok she obviously doesn’t watch Hibs much

Hearts dominated after we took the lead in the first half of the latest derby second half there was always only going to be one winner

Shame because I normally like Leanne Crichton sort of thing Michael Stewart used to say about Porto

I only listen if I am away from the match straight away and stick in the earbuds walking to the bus.

I actually think that fans of all clubs except Rangers and Celtic are shortchanged by this programme.

They used to go round all the grounds and get both managers comments - but that seems to have almost dropped out completely (not just for us) and when it does happen, its about 30 seconds before going back to some irrelevant point about Celtic or Rangers.

I listened to John Robertson yesterday doing the County match and post match - his analysis was decent and he was given time to make his points.

Crichton is hopeless, although she isnt alone in that.

Honestly who cares. I suspect most Hibs fans (based on previous experience that we were going to lose today) but against the odds and not for the first time we defined those odds. We really need to enjoy this, not beAting Rangers as we have done that before, but we keep a run going
We have a team of decent individuals who as a team are a step higher than we are and that is down to management. We and the players should enjoy, accept and believe in it

Even the Hibs fan being interviewed (who was great by the way) was questioned with negative leaning questions and then…

“We will now hear from what will be a delighted David Gray, although he never comes over as delighted I have to say” 😡

And to be clear. Sportsound should be talking about THIS being THE story of the season. It’s incredible.

The thing that annoys me about sportsound it’s complete bi polar behaviour from the start of the season on two fronts

We were languishing and getting coverage and plenty of media outlets saying gray will go etc etc

Where as up north bbc Scotland in particular every Saturday would be creaming themselves over Aberdeen and how good they’re set up with this fantastic new manager

Our run has came over a sustained longer period now and it’s no where near the levels of over hype that was promoted by bbc and others.

I just don’t like the old pals act and this club is a media darling - 100% there is an element of this

It's ridiculous, as supporters of all teams will claim this to a greater or lesser extent. Brian McLaughlin's recent articles on the BBC website have been excessively gracious towards us. In an age of tedious and damaging conspiracy theories at a level way above the significance of football, it doesn't do us any credit to suggest there's some sort of media vendetta against Hibs. It's ridiculous, as supporters of all teams will claim this to a greater or lesser extent. Brian McLaughlin's recent articles on the BBC website have been excessively gracious towards us. People can indulge their own prejudices if they want but let's not be like the conspiracy theorist nutters and do it irrespective of the evidence.

You go to any football forum for any club in the world, and you will find that the biggest conspiracy is that every club on the planet is being conspired against.

And giving us the highest praise. As Craigan did last week. We'd all prefer it if they had a Hibs-minded panellist and less jambos but that's the way it is.

Even fat Brian seemed to be spellbound by our football in his match report, quite a few superlatives included.

I think the anti Hibs bias is a little over exaggerated. We've not been good last number of seasons and the criticisms haven't differed much from what the fans said online at the time. It just hurts a bit more when it's not fans saying it and also when it's true.

Back when we were flying under Lennon, Preston et al were equally complimentary about us.

I dont think you must listen to sportsound much, or know who the presenters are. The individual biases arent hidden and are part of the show. But the hearts-ex players and acknowledged fans like Brian Biscuits and Mikey arent balanced out by hibs voices. It doesn’t particularly bother me, i find it amusing as much as anything, especially when we start to win so regularly they tirn up late at the party to give us some grudging respect.
Obviously, individual presenters have their own teams which is better than it being hidden by the BBC as happened in the past. I don't really care about balance in who presenters support. My point is that it's not institutionalised. There's not an agenda against us or any other team and we're treated pretty even handedly. Anyone who denies that is just indulging their own biases.

Nah not really. You’re using a logical fallacy, that anyone who sees something you don’t, or believes something you don’t, is automatically biased. I respect others genuinely held beliefs, without that you can’t have a proper discussion.

Avoiding all references to American politics, Stewart's timing in the commentary on Bowie's abilities were brilliantly timed given they came immediately before the final goal

I was surprised at Dochertys post match interview and how he kept going on about our “reputation”

Made me think he doesn’t think we’re as good as others do and people are now just scared to play us.

He also thought they were the better team for a spell in the second half. Well that makes no difference if you’re the better team for 15 minutes out of 90. Even at that, were they better? Smith hardly made a save

Glad we pumped them

Cut a frustrated figure on the touchline as they huffed and puffed for the first 10 minutes of the second half making no impact and it was game over when we brought on our subs

What is even more remarkable is how has Simon Murray scored 20 goals this season in such a poor football team ?

Docherty appeared to be going mental at Murray at one point. Not surprising as he looked totally uninterested towards the end of the game. Before that he spent most of his time in an offside position looking for a long ball over the top, that never came. Quite surprised at how ineffective he was over the course of the game, considering his goal scoring stats. I suppose you can put it down to our defending, but not sure if something else was bothering him.

Murray got no change out of Rocky who was a colossus hardly jumping to beat him in the air and easily beating him in a race for the ball then he switched to Iredale and Miller with the same result no luck

Was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was in the end

The last number of minutes before full time was all from Easter Rd
Stephen McGinn was the reporter at the gameYes, heard that - then nothing afterwards.

Clear as day they are all hurting and big time. Whilst I get relegation is important the story of the season is surely Hibs being bottom in December nearly 30 points behind Aberdeen, going on an unbeaten 18 game run and now going for group stage European football and sitting clear in third.

Bitterness and seethe along with clear bias from our national broadcaster.

Best thing we can do now is finish third.

Astonished that anyone still tunes in to that crap 😂😂😂

Stop giving them your time folks - that bias and corrupt corporation is going down the pan anyway 👍

I’m giving them time as I have to pay for it and expect some sort of unbiased reporting. Switching it off if you’re not a Hearts supporter shouldn’t be the answer. Get the complaints into the BBC because it’s getting ridiculous now.

Stop paying for it then.

Sportscene also giving the post match analysis of the Hearts game more screen time than the Hibs / Dundee United / Aberdeen games that actually matter.

😂 did you time it?

No😂 Admittedly it might have just felt longer because I’m already sick of hearing about who should be Hearts next manager.

Stop paying for it then.

So you stop paying for it because the National broadcaster is totally biased. Surely you bring pressure on them to do what they’re paid to do otherwise you’ve just surrendered to their utter biased 💩. Take them to task over this rubbish and make them do the job they’re obligated to do.

That’s the link to complain.

I do enjoy some pre match information on games etc and some discussions can be funny but the lack of Hibs coverage is just wild.

Some of the open all mics content is woeful though with the shouting over each other.

The usual old firm bias too most weeks.

I’ve already complained tonight after listening to the radio coming home from the game in the car. I urge everyone to do it as it’s beyond a joke now. Thanks for sharing. 👍
