I’ve already complained tonight after listening to the radio coming home from the game in the car. I urge everyone to do it as it’s beyond a joke now. Thanks for sharing. 👍

It was worse on the way to the game!!! Pure yam love in!!!

I tried to find the programme title - Sports Sound but couldn’t see it listed ?

Anyone able to find it on the list?

Even the Scottish BBC news football results were at it announcing that Hearts had a convincing win. None of the other teams wins were announced in a similar fashion.

I just added it into BBC sounds then it asked what programme I was complaining about, was then able to add Scotland and type Sportsound. It’s a faf but I was determined to do it.

Aye ... made the whole trip worthwhile :greengrin

I was just wondering if Hibs provide reporters with snacks and stuff when they are working at ER .... if the buggers aren't even going to mention us maybe it's time to cut them off and make them bring their own. If they are the same as photographers you get a voucher for a pie and a drink.

I got back to my house in the Borders and they were still whittering on about St Johnstone.

It was surreal, you had a huge and marketable clash for 3rd place, a cracking game to boot and they completely blanked it….like it wasn’t even on today, never mind the game of the day by a country mile.

Embarrassing (and some might say deliberate 🤷)

Is that not slightly contradictory though? Should St Johnstone not get any air time? Does it need to just be more Hibs and **** everyone else?

My gripe is when Aberdeen won the league in October. All they talked about was Aberdeen and how great they have done in getting sir Jimmy and recruitment etc

Now we’re third, third isn’t important and almost not as good as winning the league in October.

The bbc have clearly got their favourites.

A common theme of complaint is that by the time folk are back travelling home and listening to the show a lot of the main post match content of interest has been dispensed with.

Years ago there used to be definite sense of the programme having a large target audience of supporters who had been attending the games across the country, not just those who had been tuning in for a whole afternoons coverage, and the way the programme was packaged, particularly post match, was with some consideration for fans travelling home from games.

The show finished a lot earlier than it does now but there was always time for reports from every game, including interviews with key players and managers and comprehensive results and summary from lower leagues.
What we didn’t have back then was a long list of “pundits” fighting for air time and elongated debate or focus on certain topics.

We also never had to listen to the likes of Gerry McNee’s three favourite records.

No issue with St Johnstone getting airtime, I just want the same for all clubs (particularly a club that was bottom of the league around xmas and is now on the verge of finishing 3rd, having just beaten the team 5th in the league). 👍

Hibs being unfashionable to the Scottish media is nothing new. Pre social media and when newspapers were more widely purchased I used to joke that if Hibs ever won the league it would probably be mentioned on the third back page in one of the side columns.

I don’t think they will ever listen but they may take note if hundreds of people put a complaint in. It’s unbelievably biased and almost totally staffed by Jambos . No point complaining on Hibs.net we all need to get at BBC Scotland.

Complaints will just result in empty platitudes, you’ll still have the same dafties talking the same ***** next season.

They're not going to change because a handful of Hibs fans complain we're not given enough airtime though.

Honestly not having a go and I suppose I do get where you're coming from (national broadcaster etc) but if it annoys you that much just don't listen?

I couldn't believe there was no discussion on our game at all, they managed to squeeze in a bit about tomorrow's game obviously, but nothing about ours - and it was a hugely significant game in the fight for third.

Honestly don't mind other teams getting coverage, they should, but to have nothing - no interviews, no fan, not even a passing mention was just bizarre.

Much the same with Sportscene Matty, only covered the first 2 goals in analysis, if that had been any of the OF, or hertz, they would have analysed everything to the hilt.

They spent a load of time immediately after the match praising Hibs, talking about how important that win was after the Dons game.

It was all about Hibs from the stairs on the West almost til I got to the bus stop on London Road.

I didnt listen to any of the stuff later on, but they do seem to struggle to fit in the audio manager interviews in the new format - I think they are just leaving them until Sportscene on the tv later.

TBF I have heard KM in more recent times say they would fit in what managers they could. Maybe that was circumstances then - lo and behold Hibs never featured.

Maybe it’s a strategy by Hibs to drive traffic to the socials ? But it is a curious case to be seemingly regularly omitted from a national broadcaster.

Sportsound has been ***** for years. There’s a good reason why messrs Preston, Stewart, Miller, McLaughlin etc are on the show and it’s because no other broadcaster is remotely interested in them being near their stations.
Mikey Stewart is quite a polarising person. For a while I thought he was good enough to step up and make a good career perhaps down south as he is a reasonably intellectual guy however recently he’s become a parody of himself with some of the crap he spouts.
It’s a dreadful outdated show and personally don’t give a flying if we continue to fly under the radar doing our own thing while these morons continue to wax lyrical about the sheep and the puddle drinkers.

All just plain weird and inexcusable from the BBC. Celtic and The Rangers are done, little more worth saying about either of them. Their last game has no bearing on anything. Relegation has been done for weeks now and there's a small amount of interest in who'll be in the playoff. The race for 3rd is huge and has serious meaning for the 3 big clubs involved. Sir David is going to win MOTY for steering Hibs to the greatest comeback in Scottish football history ever :greengrin The BBC chumps will all bow down to him in time

What a job he has, basically paid for talking about the team he supports live at the games. He knows literally zero about the opposition or anything either. Utterly shameless.

Saying that, I'm not switching on sportsound listening out for them not mentioning Hibernian so I can moan about it. It is what it is and I don't expect anything less.

The hour before kick off mostly about Hearts with plenty naval gazing from the pundits. The gist being the "wonderful" Hearts fans deserve more.

Just sat through the Saturday podcast and yup, not a peep. Mad eh and can only be deliberate. Sportscene coverage felt like a courtesy. Not even showing the 3rd goal in the summary. Tbf mcfadden seemed engaged but “Big Thommo” wasn’t happy cause his mate Goodwin got gubbed.

The complaints about yesterday seem to be that Hibs aren't getting the exposure that others sitting third would get. Here, they're actually the best team in the country but still well down the pecking order.

I agree re the exposure. I also do agree while there's not a paranoid agenda against the club, I don't think it's fair the club are not represented as well as other clubs are and it's out of order that we are not the main discussion let alone having no discussion when we are third in the league with three games left and had a remarkable turnaround this season and WERE a story, a big story that got plenty of exposure when struggling.

I wouldn't go as far as moan about the website stuff though as it's pretty logical who they are catering for.
