A bit premature. Hearts were the big winners today.
2 points gained on Hibs and Aberdeen and jumped Motherwell to go top 6.
I expect Hibs and Hearts to take 6 points from their remaining pre split fixtures.
That would leave us 5 points ahead of Hearts with 5 games to play but with only 2 home games and an away derby amongst the 3 aways.
Hopefully Dundee United don't better a draw tomorrow.
It's all too close to call in the end .... it's been as mental a season as I can remember in our 10 team league with nothing anywhere near finalised, not even relegation. I would note that Ross County are currently 6th in the form table with 3 wins in their last 5 and both Dundee Utd and Aberdeen have to go there, also that since their change of boss Motherwell have picked up, winning 2 out of their last 3 and coming back from 2 - 0 down today, Hearts and Aberdeen both have to play them.

Hearts don’t worry me. If they do scrape into the top six, could be good for us, wherever we play them, given we’ve bossed them this season. We’re doing not too bad, I’d say others should worry about us and not the other way about.

Obita needs to keep the ball in the corner not trying to cross it in, if he just keeps the ball we win that game
All about being calm and intelligent.
Hoilett & Gayle played at a high level and managed to do this against the Yam in the last few minutes
Sadly Obita does not have this in him.

Said to my son 5 mins before the goal we might need a second goal. Sickener, but at least it wasn’t a defeat. Good to see Levitt showing what he can do, found space well and tried to look up. Point at Killie isn’t end of the world. Next …
I actually mentioned to my father our previous visit there going into the last 5 minutes as I felt like the script was set for them to equalise again, disappointing in they were really poor and it was our inability to kill them off that cost us …
I’ve not been Levitt’s biggest fan on here but was impressed by him and Hoilett today which is a positive . Totally agree a point at Killie isn’t the end of the world and as much as I dislike them the international break is coming at a good time for us too .

Just back and pretty annoyed with that. Two points thrown away. Said before the game that a draw wouldn’t be a disaster but, the way the game went, we had to win.
I actually thought we played some good stuff today. But only up to their 18 yard box. Once we got there I just thought we lacked a bit composure and quality. Let them stay in the game when we should have went and killed them off. Hope these draws away to the bottom three since the turn of the year don’t prove to be costly.

I think it is good timing for us, regroup and players clear some niggles and manager can plan for the end of season run in. The teams below us don’t worry me, we have a few who have proven to be capable match winners.

Assuming fresh legs Hoilett maybe tiring
I thought Levitt was covering ground up well until the hour mark. Killie players seemed to squeeze him harder after that, and fresh legs and a long outball made sense to me.
Given the nature of the goal we lost, blaming subs seems like people just want to jump back on old hobby horses.

We were very good on the whole. But only good up until final third. Too many times the surface caught us out or a poor final touch, pass.
Players at the top end need to start putting some teams away. That would be my only complaint and I’m really being harsh, is that we don’t often give teams a doing. I think next season we need to add this in our locker.
At one nil it’s never safe, the defence has been amazing on the whole in the run but the forwards have to step up and do their job too.
First time today I didn’t get the subs, Levitt was playing very well as was hoilett. Even today I didn’t think gayle was the answer.
Another point in the bag but feels like a massive opportunity missed for me.

Not seen it mentioned but was it just me that thought the shape was tweaked today?
Not sure if it was right from the start but in large parts it looked more 343 than 352 with Boyle and Hoilett playing either side of the striker albeit narrower at times.

Just home from the match and on the BBC Radio Gorgie drivel from Sportsound had an interview with McInnes. Or somebody masquerading as him…he actually said this is the best Hibs team he has faced. Went into detail why…where is the greeting faced tango man and what have they done with him?

I honestly felt the exact opposite. We dropped so deep when the subs came on and just invited them on to us and could not keep the ball. But at least the run continues. Game should've been over anyway. Missed far too many good chances
Really didn’t think they created anything until the goal.
Few criticising Bowie on here for lack of contribution but at the game I actually thought the Killie centre half up against gave as good as he got physically against Bowie which is not necessarily easy. If you're a Killie fan you'd say the defender handled Bowie really well and nullified Bowies impact.
He’s right, whoever he is 😄
They had the ball in the net with Smith stuck to his line Craig Gordon-esque again, if that goal had stood there would have been big questions over Smith again. He looked very very reluctant

Agree re subs.
We looked in total control with Hoilett and Levitt on the pitch. Both were keeping possession and had great ability to hold on to the ball. Both tidy in possession. Unfortunately once they went off we replaced them with two who are all about effort and we lost the control we had.
Killie got more possession as a result and started just hoofing it in to our box playing the percentage game. Unfortunately one lapse in concentration when the two either side of Murray walked away from him and allowed him a free strike at goal

We lacked any clinical finishing in the final 3rd. There were chances that were missed and that’s what cost us.

Kilmarnock are awful. I've never seen a team lose possession/run the ball out of play as much as them.
We really should have beaten them and it's frustrating especially as Aberdeen and Dundee Utd both dropped points.
