I get that we've got an imbalanced squad with strength in some areas and weaknesses in others, and that we should be trying to find a way to get our best players into the team but this is ridiculous.

I was reading earlier that this has now been changed and you would need to finish in the top 2 places. The other top seeds will be made up with rankings. So England basically guaranteed a top seeding even although they are in league B. And if we don’t finish top 2, we’re likely to be 3rd seeds.

It’s highly unfair to dismiss his better results and the recent qualifications… but the number of occasions when we **** the bed in very similar circumstances on big occasions really are mounting.

I am going to defend Dykes - we don't have better at the moment and his style does bring others into play. Never seen a game where his effort and commitment could be questioned. Its up to others to show they can offer more. Not anyone around at the moment doing that

On the face of it we’ve got a good midfield but we need some creativity in there, 5 central midfielders all capable of playing centre-mid (McLean the exception) but all too similar.

McLean excepted there are not really any viable options for tonight's game that were fit and available for the positions people are saying need alternatives . CH's done fine as against 1 - very good - 36 year old . Midfield doing decent and being pretty forward thinking. Dykes winning balls / bringing others into play (not international class on chances converted though) so just two individual errors costing an otherwise decent performance...
