Hopefully they don't change the keeper on the return leg as Laidlaw always has a decent game against us and their keeper today didn't look too clever.

NMW probably had his worst game for us today with some poor passing which made us struggle to get going in the 1st half. We really need to pick up the pace with our passing movements and look to play the ball forward. Too many times it's going back to the CH.

Another big result for Monty which has us on track for an exciting end to the season providing we can keep up momentum.

LG was played as an out and out striker and is probably one of the top ten strikers Scotland has seen this century.

Glad to get the three points but that was a frustrating watch today. Thankfully county are woeful and have zero creativity in Thier side otherwise we could have been in bother today. A half decent side would have punished us. Miller, Moriah-Welsh and Marcondes were absolutely shocking also. Wednesday obviously took a lot out of them.

Comfortable win. Never really got all that frustrated today as it always felt like it was a case it never quite happened first half but it was going to come.

Added to that County turned down a few opportunities to break second half with what looked like a couple of teenagers on the ball we were never really threatened - ignoring the one chance they created all afternoon that could have changed things.

Will wait for the highlights but I thought Emiliano was pretty much showboating with the attempted first half finish when he had the chance to be clinical.

It’s poor from Vente. Not too different from the individual errors by the defence. Vente got away with his while the defenders haven’t in previous games.

His job is to score. Even if there was a shout, I don’t think there was, he should be taking responsibility himself from that position then discuss not listening to the shout later on if need be. One small incident, which didn’t cost us, so no harm done.

I like Vente but thought that was pathetic from him. He gets paid to score goals, that's his job, but he shirked his responsibilities and passed the onus onto some one else. Horrendous decision and IMO says a lot abut the player - sooner he's moved on the better.

Lots of running around is simply not enough.

Most of the players weren't great yesterday apart from a few . Levitt and Youan gave us abit of energy we were lacking at that time imo . Seen us play well and get nothing so to get the 3 points even though we didn't play all that well especially after what was a hectic week is good .

Wins against Ross County and Livi, which really should be do-able, along with a draw between Killie and St Mirren on 16th, would see that gap reduced to 3 and 2.
Ross county away will be on the back of a difficult cup tie on the Sunday with Rangers so another three games in a week makes it more tricky

Ross County are a slow, negative and defensive team. They set-out for 0-0 and lowered the standard of the entire match with their utterly crap attitude to football.

It took us longer than we'd have liked to get the first goal, but it really opened up the match as it forced them to speed things up.

I thought we looked pretty good when we were going quickly, but let them dictate the pace a bit too much (especially in the first half). Youan looked good and, based on the last 30 mins, 2-0 was a bit flattering to County.

Hopefully we learn well and get an early goal against them in Dingwall.

It was clear yesterday the effect that the derby had on some performances although all that really matters is that we got the win. Wonder how well we’ll cope with an even tougher week coming up with Gers, Dingwall and then Livi in the space of 6 days. Hard not to imagine at least one really jaded performance there, though don’t think it will be in the cup tie.

The way I saw it, was that he wouldn't have been able to get a shot off, so instead of getting all muddled up and caught with the ball, he let it slip through to ..... well, it turned out no one was there, but still, I don't think he was deliberately avoiding taking a shot.

Just throwing that thought out there is all.
