Todd Cantwell , Watch his blatant dive against Aberdeen a month or so back, Absolutely embarrassing ! Through himself through the air in the box to try con the ref for a penalty , Nothing said at the time in the comms box , Not even discussed at half time , If that was Boyle he would be getting it tight by the media and talked about his 'reputation '
Boyle should have had a penalty against celtic 100%
The irony in the Cantwell dive is that the ref was Walsh also again with a perfect view and chose not to book him. Compare and contrast with his quick fire decision making on Wednesday

For the folks that were at the game.
What were the noteable tactical tweaks.
Same as Wednesday, mailolda staying central in 4-3-3
Were the wingers staying out wide or coming inside with support from the full backs. What one of the midfield three was the deepest.
Monty would be a brave man to go back to a 4-4-2 when it’s been two night and day performances in a row now.
Looked a pretty standard 433 as far as I was concerned. Boyle tended to stay wider I thought but, regardless of system, I’ve always thought he’s done that when he plays on the right. Biggest issue with him has been not playing him on the right, whether in a 4 or a 3. Mayenda first half an Youan second half tended to drift in a bit more, I prefer Youan on the left coming in and trying to get shots away.
Didn’t think the midfield 3 worked in the first half. None of them are going to play higher up the park and link things with the front 3. Particularly first half Newell was about playing as a third centre half and taking the ball far too deep for me. Think he stepped out properly once in the first half and played a good ball to Boyle. First goal started from him being 30 yards from their goal rather than ours as well. We don’t need him on the ball away back where he was picking it up.
Thought we were comfortable, played well after we got the first goal, but mindful we were up against very little.

Why does he do this? Half the time he ends up just passing it to one of the centre backs rendering it absolutely pointless.
Wonder why no other players in the league seem to get branded with this reputation or have it continually discussed. Kyogo at Celtic is one of the worst for diving but it's never mentioned.
I would put Duk the diving don in another category, he’s much worse.

Don’t know if it’s under instruction or if it’s just the way he plays. Either way it’s a waste of time, just leave the centre halves on the ball and give them an option to pass the ball to in the middle of the park. When he does step out of there to play further up the park, he can do it well.

Boyle incident was 100% a foul, there is clear contact at speed. Past incidents shouldn't matter a ***** when VAR is involved to check independently. The ref booked him for diving which indicates no contact, he was totally incorrect and therefore should have been alerted that there was a clear and obvious mistake.

Contact in itself doesn’t equal a foul. Boyle has to have been impeded, and his theatrics will make referees think he hasn’t. I’d rather Hibs players don’t dive at all, but if Boyle is going to he needs to get much better at it.

He did it under previous managers too, most notably/infuriatingly at Tynie on the final day of last season. Agreed he’s more effective influencing the game further up the field rather than playing at being a quarterback.

The contact to a player at speed causes the player to fall down and is a foul. He never dived because of the contact. He wasn't anticipating contact, it actually occurred.

Yep. I just think it’s a bad habit he has, it’s an easy thing to do. It’s one thing getting on the ball fairly deep to get your team playing but it should never be that deep. It’s slows things down and reduces options further up the park. Just needs to spend more time further up the park.

I think Moriah-Welsh will bring us our first millions from our new regime. Didn't realise he was only 21. A 3 and a half year deal looks like cracking business. Early days but he's so dynamic and tidy on the ball
Completely agree, early days yet, but the signs are promisingly, he looks a real find
