A queue starts before the sale time, today it seems it was about 20 past 11. Anyone on before then gets kicked out. After that you go in the queue. The queue stayed the same from then until tickets were released just after 12.

It's a shambles, if they go on sale at 12 then that is the point everyone should be kicked out and the queue randomised. It is right in the middle of the working day, people shouldn't have to take hours out to guess when the queue starts.

A lot of people forgetting how queues work…. If you queued outside Greggs for a coffee for 20 mins before it opened then when it opened they let folk in randomly and sold out you wouldn’t be best pleased!

They go on sale at 12. That doesn’t mean the queue starts at 12 and it doesn’t mean the folk who pitched up later than others should be randomised to the front.

I think we have to be careful not to start bashing the people who are Hibs First members. The vast majority will be regular away attendees who have taken this on as a continuation of their AST. That's fair enough, I go to a few away games every year but not enough to really justify an extra £50 and I'm happy to take my chances with other ST holders for Tynecastle etc. and behind the Hibs First guys in the queue.

I think days like today do highlight the limitations of such a scheme though. A properly administered loyalty points scheme based solely on home and away game attendance means that those Hibs First members who do attend every or most away games would still be at the front of the queue and there is a sliding scale from there. I'd also give HibsTV subscribers abroad some points as well to give them a fair shot at tickets for Hampden since that is their equivalent of buying a ST. There would still be enough tickets to go around for the semi finals and finals but they wouldn't displace a regular away traveler from say Ibrox.

It's doable, the dozens of other clubs who manage loyalty schemes effectively are proof of that. In the meantime I have no issue with those who signed up for Hibs First, the majority will be regular away fans and they have taken the deal that has been offered. I've no issue with those who attend away games in the Hibernian First scheme and that will be the vast majority. There may be some though that don't go to many away games outwith premium games and may not even go to ER but have a ST. My idea of loyalty is actually attending not just buying something and while a perfect Loyalty scheme would actually be quite hard to administer due to some people buying tickets from other fans, paying at the gate or other clubs doing the ticket sales it should be incredibly easy to get one in place that is as good as other clubs. It also saves the majority of fans wasting their time in online queues and takes the heat off the servers at Ticketmaster. Most off all it means the most deserving and loyal fans get priority with tickets at away games.

There is no perfect system when demand is high but a loyalty points system is the fairest. I heard today that the players, staff and officials only got 80 tickets between them so it does appear that the club maximised tickets to supporters

There was never ever going to be enough tickets for those who wanted them so was always going to lead to the majority being disappointed. It’s unfortunate. There was no perfect system other than years of loyalty points which would have distributed these tickets semi fairly.

So judging by what has been said, I should have logged on at 8 as soon as I got to work and just waited the four hours? Seems a bit mental if tickets don't actually go on sake till midday. Lesson learned for the future

The way ticketmaster works is that if you log in early you get randomly placed in the queue when it starts. Definitely better than waiting until 12:00:01

Didn’t get tickets despite being quite early in the queue. Also got the dreaded cancellation of my home end tickets within the same hour to compound the misery.

Gutted, but is what it is. I’ll be travelling down regardless as it beats going to work! Hopefully we still take a strong following down there and get a good atmosphere in whatever pubs we end up taking overDid they give a reason?

I've got home end tickets and dreading getting the email.

Credible information that you’re a Hibs fan basically. They’ve also upped the sales criteria to having to have purchased previously.

Sadly it’s nigh on certain the tickets you bought will be cancelled.

Lets see if B7 managed to get 50-100 tickets for next week then, and all in the same section because I'm telling you now theres no way they all got tickets in the same tier and section by joining an online queue today. The odds of them ALL being successful at lunchtime today must have been astronomical.

At best, a handful of them will be split between the two tiers. Unless of course.......

Surely as guys who go to every game,, hibs first would have been a no brainer for them though?

They're not all Hibs first members. Not sure if any of them are tbh. :dunno:

I don't think the people who tried to queue at 21 mins before it opened and got to f*** off would be best pleased either.

Nonetheless, if they want to do a queue system then fine but they should make sure they communicate when it will open e.g. between 11 and 12, and that way fans can plan and at least feel like they are getting a fair chance.

Kieran Power has directly answered your question on the thread you said you’d delete which you didn’t. You’re nothing but an online troll and bully, no idea how it’s being tolerated by the .net Admin team.

I very seldom agree with HC on here but on this subject, he will be proven 100% correct.

I hope you take your troll and bully comments back when you see B7 all together next week.

Kieran is a liar then?

Or he’s passed on a carefully worded response from the club.

Let’s just wait and see where B7 are situated next Thursday evening and take the discussion from there.

That's the basic premise of this debate. Either KP/the club is a lying toley or B7 don't get a special priority level of ticket access.

A tad ridiculous when it's being insinuated that someone that does a power of work sorting out fan issues is a liar, but there you have it.

This isn't about KP, I've never once said he was a liar. You going to Villa park? If you are you might find B7 are all together.

Yes.

My interpretation is some B7 members (whatever constitutes that) are also Hibs First and will have tickets like the rest. I suspect Hibs help them try to get their tickets together, which I see no issue with as they are entitled to a ticket. Wee bit help getting them together I think is a positive? I also suspect that some B7 will, similarly to me, have got a ticket yesterday as a STH. I can guarantee those guys and girls won’t sit in their seat and they’ll all join up. I understand that causes a different problem.

There’s 12 of my friends with tickets. 4 HF and 8 got them yesterday. Not unreasonable to think there’ll be similar size groups dotted around.

I tend to choose to sit near B7 at matches as enjoy creating an atmosphere but I don’t get tickets through B7. I sat in FFL last night, middle block. You’ve got to consider that too before jumping to conclusions.

My summary, there will absolutely be a B7 presence, as they’ll have HF tickets, STH tickets and will bunch up and not in their allocated seats.

If there’s 20-30 I don’t raise suspicion. If there’s 100 or something then stewards enquiry.

FWIW, and most know on here, that I was part of Since 1875 from 2011-2019 and the club supported us with blocks of tickets too. We had to have enough loyalty points at that stage and latterly be STH for things like Tynecastle. They helped group us together but didn’t hand us tickets. I suppose I’m slightly sensitive to your posts as have been on receiving end of some of the false accusations historically too.

I trust KP to tell the truth that HF only got priority tickets and B7 will have some HF folk.
