No point in folk arguing with each other over the details of it. Without VAR the ref has indeed made a knee jerk terrible decision that we can all agree has been amplified a million fold by the fact that a 5 year old kid could have watched the replay and ..... If we do and don’t win it is absolutely the SFA protecting the officials. Both got it wrong. It’s not even debatable. We should absolutely be appealing that.
I agree with what you say but what’s the point because we know the outcome. A further game ban for having the audacity to appeal will be the decision.

There’s enough dubiety for it to be a genuine appeal challenge rather than a frivolous one. Again if a further game ban is added it would 100% just decide the appeal process is finished. Are we saying because VAR is now here there is no appeal without a view of an incident that VAR maybe doesn’t have access to? Might be the case but we really have to appeal that. It’s a plain wrong decision.

I would say that is terminal damage. 6 points off Aberdeen and effectively 5 off hearts considering goal difference. Realistically we aren’t getting anything from the old firm, got to go to Tynecastle as well. Terminal.
As for getting the job done, our point was irrelevant as United did us a favour - would be been top 6 anyway. Stinker of a result.

I’m the light of refereeing scandal resulting in playing most of second half with 10 men after a phantom red, it’s a good point on paper and the team deserve some plaudits for staying resolute to earn a draw.
Ultimately though, it was a performance that fell way before our standards and what we are capable of, so there’s also an element of disappointment.
Too 6 and in the mix for euro placings. After the topsy turvy season we’ve had I’m thankful we have that to be fair.

A point away at St Johnstone isn’t a terrible result at the best of times, never mind when we’re down to 10 men for a half.
We can still finish in the European places.

How? We were lacklustre in the final 3rd.
I think he meant with 11 men. :dunno:

Aye we were, then we came out the second half and before we had a chance to take whatever Lee Johnson instructed into the performance, we got a terrible red card.
With 11 men, and Nisbet up top, I’ll always fancy us to get another goal.

True. Earlier in the season we were 1-0 up at home against St Johnstone and a red card in the 65th minute caused us to collapse and lose the game. Given the circumstances (playing almost the entire second half with 10 men) a draw is decent. Remember St Johnstone are fighting for their lives to avoid relegation. You only need to look at the wins for Dundee United and Kilmarnock today to see that the threat of impending doom gives you a wee bit extra impetus.

Wasn't at the game but it would appear Marshall made a mistake but then helped us get a point in the 2nd half. Sounds a bit like Marciano, he made mistakes too but still put in some decent performances. They're more similar than I first thought.
Marciano is a lot better than this version of Marshall for me.
He needs replaced for next season.

I can’t clearly remember his faults. Was a pretty solid all round keeper
Do you remember the one when he ran miles out of his box and handled the ball and got sent off? Can't remember who it was against. He was still a pretty dependable keeper though.

Yeah, and we were lacklustre with 11 and the same with 10

Nisbet does give us a chance but the supply was terrible today.

Marshall is a great GK 👍 but I'd love to see Marciano back next season
