Wouldn’t believe a word Hearts fans are saying about him failing his medical. I’ve even heard one of them suggesting that our crowd booed him when he came on yesterday! I wasn’t at the game but surely that’s got to be total rubbish?

He was ‘purposely’ cheered (if that makes sense..) when warming up, and hugely cheered when he came on.

They are a tiny minded lot along at Gorgie HQ, bottom feeding on false info about us. The day they ever learn about honesty and fairness about their own recent history is the day hell freezes over.

We usually get the rumour from them that Hibs need to sell most of their players in this window
Hibs are in financial trouble
If they don’t sell XYZ by tomorrow night , then they apply for administration by the end of the week

OK East London but North of the Thames bordering Hackney in North London and well away from where Millwal are based in South EastcLondon. If you actually came to london, you works see the extensive social housing in central London. That communities were much more integrated than say Edinburgh and had better facilties for the community than in Scotland. The point of the post was that it was not the environment that was the problem for Kevin but the way he was treated by the club. Oh and your post was ill informed and pointless.

Er, nope.

But you’re right about one thing - London is a great city for those who can afford it. I know it very well

I've lived in South London for 42 years. Millwall's ground is in the borough of Lewisham, one of the more socially deprived areas of London. It enjoys a wonderful position hemmed in by railway lines with a huge waste disposal plant right next door. It makes Gorgie look like Ravelston! I think its perfectly feasible that Nisbet was not enamoured with the environment of his potential new club.

I’m sure he would be living between two railways lines in Lewisham. He might notice them once a fortnight when driving in a smart car from some leafy Kent suburb.

I seem to have stirred up a hornets nest with my hastily researched take on the social and geographical circumstances of Millwall FC's location within the metrolapis.

I would imagine it's pretty safe to say that London like any major city is a cracking place to live if you are well off and not so much if you aren't. I highly doubt many of Millwall's players live in the more socially deprived 'schemes'

All I can really say is that even though I've been to London a number of times and been to a few of it's more socially undesireable locations I wouldn't call myself an expert on the place. I still expect to be greeted with a line of cheeky Cockney sweeps doing a knees up when I get off the train and have to swat away begging urchins tugging at my coat as I look for a match girl to buy a box of Swan Vestas to light me fag with, who will exclaim 'cor blimy mista, your a toff an no mistake' as I tell her to keep the change :greengrin

There's about 5 miles between Millwall and Hackney!

Midlothian borders Edinburgh, it doesn't put Dalkeith on the Forth.

As Wiki says it's in the borough of Bermondsey. I was born in Bermondsey and my old man and his brothers were all Millwall supporters. They walked to the ground on matchday. Luckily we moved to Bellingham before my went to my first match and by then my local team was a choice between Palace and Millwall and I chose Palace. Millwall were founded as a docker's team and Millwall Docks was in North East London but they eventually moved South of the river. They had a lot of skinhead supporters and I never fancied the bald head look (I have this now but not by choice).

Weren't Millwall started by Scots?

In the late 80s, early 90s, I refereed a few games for the youngsters at Palace. Junior Eagles they were called I think and they put me through my referee qualification although it was a very basic level.

I was a lodger in 205 Selhurst road, right on the corner of Park Road. I used to go to the games with my landlord and landlady and I was at Wembley when they beat Everton 4-1 in the ZDS trophy final.

I also ruined a bedsheet by painting Super Alan Pardew on it and hanging it on the roof for the team to see on their return after Palace beat Liverpool 3-4 aet in the 1990 FA Cup semi. 😂

I have, Borough of Greenwich, which borders with The Borough of Lewisham, though Charlton was my team of choice, in a further twist they were playing home games at at Selhurst Park at the time.

Tweaked his hammy didn’t he? Could be wrong but I think that will be totally unrelated to anything that did or didn’t cause a failed medical at millwall and was purely just bad luck and timing last night.

Nah. They'd have picked up on something our medical team missed? Instead of alarm bells ringing we keep playing our most sellable asset without taking time to assess it ourselves?

Rubbish.

Milwall picked up on the fact that he’s not long back after a serious knee injury. World class detective work.

If he’s largely injury free from now til end of the season he will pass any such medical. Funny that.

Nisbet failed a medical on the muscles around his damaged knee not being string enough to play championship level, so they offered reduced wages.
He rejected the new terms knowing that if he comes back up the road, strengthens his knee and bangs in goals he will be worth more per week.

Not forgetting he asked for a transfer, so this nonsense that "oh he wanted to come back and play for Hibs"...... Second time hes put in a transfer request.

Does he need stronger knee muscles to play Championship level than he does Premiership level? Seems to be doing just fine rattling the goals in here.

Dunno. I've only ever seen two English championship teams play against each other, with the rest being clubs playing Hibs in friendlies. From that limited experience these clubs always seem stuffed to the gunnels with big athletic type players. The other thing is that EFL clubs play near on 50 games a season as standard .... I wouldn't worry too much about Nizzy failing a medical in the footballing equivalent of land of the giants where brawn over brain seems to be the go to approach :greengrin
