Agree. No coincidence we lost the midfield once he came on. So weak and frail, knocked off the ball constantly. He over hits passes, under hits passes and tries to take men on in impossible situations.
Defensively jogs back when he loses it and doesn’t challenge in crucial defensive encounters.
Needs to be released and replaced worth much much better.
He made no impact at Ross County or Dunfermline and should never have been on our radar in the first place

Henderson is absolutely brutal.
Should never be near our first team squad. I genuinely do not know what attributes he has or what he brings to the team.
How he managed to get a permanent deal at Hibs is just bewildering.
For the record, Cabraja is pish too. Was badly at fault for second Motherwell goal and then got caught under the ball like a wee schoolboy for the late chance Motherwell created. A bomb scare full back.

Tell Henderson he isn't going to be involved in the first team and is free to look elsewhere if that's what he wants to do. We won that game today a man short for most of it

The stats say:
59 mins played
4/8 accurate passes
16 touches
0/1 successful dribbles
0/2 accurate long balls
Dispossessed twice
Offside once
2/7 ground duels won
1/2 aerial duels won
You missed out his 2 fouls 😂

That isn't the same as releasing a player which is what the poster said.
The term released is used all the time in football, even when payoffs are made.

Really poor when Hendo is the only real option to come on in midfield. He's unfortunately nowhere near the level required. Another bizarre signing.

I agrée Henderson was poor, again. But It’s interesting I thought that was a very good display from us overall, with six outfield players being entitled to a positive thread of their own, (Nisbet McGeady Campbell Newell Porto Rocky, if you’re interested :greengrin )yet we’re still focussing on the negative. Looking forward to seeing this squad getting back to nearly full strength and moving up the table.

Mistake for their first goal aside Campbell had a great game.
Unfortunately he’s one of those players who’ll always have his detractors in our support.

Agree re your positives. McGeady was excellent, always aware of what is going on around him and beautiful to watch the way he makes time and space for himself.
Thought Youan was decent too. Raw at times but has the asset of great pace and is a real threat going forward.
PS - Porteous should be asked to see out his contract. Despite what some on these boards think, he will be a big miss when he's gone. Great free kick for 2nd goal and brilliant tackle + pass for the 3rd.

I agree.
And I don't really think it was his fault for their first goal. It was a brilliant ball over the top which he couldn't reach. If he hadn't gone for it, the boy would have been in anyway. :dunno:

Slightly over simplified take. If he’s unable to reach it then he should stand up and defend instead.
It’s definitely a bad mistake but what can we expect when we play someone out of position? 2 goals lost in 2 games by having Fish and then Campbell playing RB unnecessarily
Mate he's not the answer if we want to improve.

Seems the poster is thinking of a mutual termination, but pretty much anytime a player is let go without a club it's just considered a release.

To be fair, we didn’t really have much choice today, someone was going to need to play out of position once Cadden went off injured. Bad mistake when the ball has travelled that far though.

Enjoyed todays game. Good start but lost our way when Cadden went off. Really missed Campbell's bite and energy in midfield and Henderson looks like a lost soul who needs to be anywhere other than at Hibs.
Difference between the two teams was ruthlessness and class. Great to see Nisbet enjoying his football again, full of confidence and knocking them in for fun. McGeady was a class act. Yes, he disappeared from the game at times, but when involved, made things happen. And he made 90 mins with ease.
Also though LJ got his team set up right towards the end with the shuffle of the back line.
Overall, great result and something to build on.

I thought Campbell was good while he was in midfield. At right back he can handle one on one challenges, but doesn't have the positional instincts of someone who plays there regularly - not his fault. Once he moved forward again he set up the third goal.
It's a comment on our recruitment that we had to make a change that weakened the midfield and left us with an out of position fullback. It also shows that LJ has lost confidence in Fish after the derby.

Pretty poor management/planning IMO
We knew that Cadden was a doubt but we didn’t have Megwa on the bench. Personally would have felt Porteous moving to RB and Hanlon on would have made more sense. At least Porto is used to operating in that area and would have done the basics.
Campbell did his best and credit to him
Campbell will only get better. He's never going to be the flashiest player but if the flashy players are going to shine you need a grafter doing all the niggly grindy stuff. He can run all day and makes things difficult for the opposition. Can pop a goal or two in as well which is required from a midfielder. Be interesting to see how he develops.

He will. Only need to see Newcastle away at Arsenal the other day to show falling over injured can work at the top level too. It's clever from Ryan. Wastes time, annoys opposition and wins free kicks.

Megwa is a right back.
Sure, but he’s also a player who hasn’t played a single minute of first team football for us.
Might work out fine, might be the opportunity he’s been waiting for but I think losing Cadden for an untested youngster is a potential problem.

We were really poor defensively again today. It’s not going to change dramatically between now and the end of the season so we’re just going to need to rely on our our forward players going on a good run to get anywhere IMO. Even last week it’s not as if we didn’t create anything so at least we look as if we’ve got goals in us.

Totally much more to like than dislike. Twice were cruising but managed to let them back in. Not getting away from Henderson and Cabraja weren't great not easy just to jump in after not playing for a while and be at full speed. There is a player in both however patience wearing out I am assuming.
