Nisbet will get MOTM for the hatrick, but Porteous has been the best player on the park IMO. We can sign a good defender who makes part of a solid defence but will be years before we see someone with Porteous’ ability and character IMO.

I posted a couple of months back that I considered an afternoon in the pub when I found out Henderson was in one of our starting 11's. A few months on he has still not got any better. If Johnson does eventually get sacked Henderson will be one of the biggest nails in his coffin.

Overall a big relief to get 3 points. The performance was no different from many other games this season with the exception of Nisbet's finishing. We're decent enough in possession but woeful without the ball. Motherwell's 1st goal is a classic example of shocking concentration and defending.

A Great win. Always knew we were heavily reliant on Nisbet's return to form and he showed how important he is today. McGeady and Youan looking sharper too.

I think after the Fish mistake there was a clear message to the centre half's to kick it the way you're facing. But I thought at times we were guilty of just lashing it up the park and slicing it away left and right when we had the chance to be composed on the ball.

We can be more convincing but all about the result. And it gives us a chance let's hope to get some momentum going with 3 home games to come.

Same as you, I think the thought process was Hendo will put his foot on the ball, take it under pressure and feed the likes of Youan and McGeady. I don’t think he done that once.

I’ve said it a couple of times but he always seems to be inbetween sitting off folk and pressing them which leads to him either getting the ball passes round him or a last ditch attempt to press and inevitably gives up a foul.

Also stitched Cabraja up and made him look worse by not tracking his runner

I just cannot fathom why Henderson continues to be in our match day squad. I posted a couple of months back that I considered an afternoon in the pub when I found out Henderson was in one of our starting 11's. A few months on he has still not got any better. If Johnson does eventually get sacked Henderson will be one of the biggest nails in his coffin.

Maybe the manager wants to make sure how bad they are, or he is trying to show the owner how badly he needs a replacement!

Like cadden he is better as a wing back with his defensive responsibilities reduced. However we don’t really have the personnel to play a back three and it seems to be out of fashion right now.

I had high hopes for Mitchell in that role but he appears to be surplus to requirements
