2 wins out of 9 isn't great though I remember 16 without a win . Things could be worse . Feel we are still a work in progress under LJ though lots of positive stuff as well , only 2 points off 3rd place after what you mentioned, good result against Livingston and a very good performance, one of the best keepers in the league , Nisbet and Magennis back and playing well , youan's had his best game for us , some really good youth players at the club, January transfer window coming up so hopefully we will improve our squad etc etc . Merry Christmas and happy New year
And I’m hoping we get a positive result tomorrow evening to keep us in the hunt for 3rd. We’ve won 18 league games out of our last 56 (Aug 2021). I’ve no idea the last time we beat ****bo’s at Easter Road? Possibly March 2019.
Not great stars and not lots to be positive about unfortunately.

No not flukes.
To be honest I find it hard to be positive about the club in recent years.
We continually struggle to make the top 6 other than a couple of seasons ago and to be behind the likes off Livvi and Ross C after 33 league games is an absolute disgrace.
Our recent record v Hearts is abysmal and the truth is we hardly ever beat them.
Where are the positives?
And to be fair, I’ve not taken great delight in the player being injured unlike some.
See, you've found one. Spotty is out for the season.
I didn't take ''enjoyment''. I said I hoped he was out for the season as it benefits Hibs. Which he is, and hopefully it will. I didn't break his leg.
You are a truly miserable sod tbh. Fair enough, I'm not married to you so I really don't care, but man, why do you even support Hibs?

Fair comment but I have seen better days at ER and there have been very few positives in recent years.
You’re probably right but there’s been more positives than down Gorgie way that’s for sure.
Not sure what you mean, just commenting as I saw it.
Basically on here as it's Gordon it's red and if it was David Marshall it would have been an unfortunate accident. It's great that you are around to keep everybody straight. Having one person who is objective about everything Hibs is such a boon.

I suppose Saturday's win made me happy.
Too many guys on here seem happy that we plod on with a win every so often.
We're talking about the Hibs here.
I love my club and it kills me that we have been so ordinary for so long.
What I would give for two wins v the Hearts.
Maybe I care more than most.
That is highly insulting. Just because others aren't as negative/downbeat as you about all thing Hibs it doesn't mean they care any less.
It's nothing to do with caring or not caring. Maybe it is more about personality in general where you focus more on the negative in any situation compared to others. Maybe that is just your online personality and not your personality in "real life" but you are what I'd class as a dementor that sucks the life and happiness out of anything and anyone in the vicinity. Someone to give a wide berth at parties.

What days were actually better? One season with Lennon and Mowbray but that’s about it. Every other season in my lifetime has / is a struggle.

Loanheadhibby does not support Hibs imo.
He behaves like a Jambo Troll, the weirdo kind that comments on a rivals supporters message board constantly.

Looking over his previous posts history, it’s hard to disagree with you.
He’s done well to get this far though……
Didn’t he also post on here many moons ago that he was nominating for the Fans Board rep, when we had a vote on them….or am I confusing him with another similar nom de plume?

Don’t forget Hearts did get relegated for a year when they thought all they had to do was turn up at St Mirren back in 2020 :greengrin

I think what you are really missing is any sense of perspective.
As the great Lawrie Reilly said " I was born a Hibby and will die a Hibby" but there are times over my 60 years that it has been an all-consuming love and others where it is less so.
There's no doubt that life is on a far more even keel when it is less so.
I have probably been where you are now a couple of times and used to go to games and rant for 90 minutes and then come home pissed off, by what I had seen and debate the arse out it with anyone prepared to listen or argue, but that truly is not good for your mental health as it inevitably spills over into every other area of your life.
There won't be many people happy with how the last 2 years have been, but the years before that we great times to be a Hibby and, in Scottish Football other than the OF there is always an element of waxing and waning.
One thing being a Hibby tells you is that hope springs eternal, but you have got to be in a position to see the faint shoots of it appear before it ever will.

Jeezo, even worse than I remembered. Nearly 5 years and folk wonder why I am miserable! We’re getting to the realms of Alex Miller territory.
Whether they were in Championship or not for a season, no Hibs fan can be happy with that return.

Cheers BH. Definitely a hibby and not afraid to call them out over substandard on field performances year after year.
We live in hope that the rest of the season will be better. 3 points tonight will be a start.

Perspective helps - we are not playing them at Easter Road next week.
We beat them in the Christmas / New Year match in their silly wee stadium the season they were relegated (late December 2019, Boyle double).
Back on topic, I was amused to hear that Gordon Strachan is "backing Craig Gordon to return as Scotland Manager" on the radio this morning - I must have missed him qualifying as a doctor .

3 points tonight isn't going to be easy considering who we are playing so I wouldn't build your hopes up to much personally I'd settle for point right now!

Can’t see us getting anything out of the game tonight unfortunately. Anything will be a bonus.
Hope Gordon makes a return but I’d be surprised giving his age.

I’ll be staggered if he plays again, but then again he’s probably not done making worldie saves against us.

Why wouldn't he play again? its about 5 weeks on and he's using the leg press. He could play again this season.

His leg was jelly 5 weeks ago, it would be an amazing recovery if he does at his age.

I know what you're saying, but this isn't 1958, leg breaks aren't really that major anymore. He's no doubt got access to the best physios and doctors in Scotland, who have lots of experience with this. He'll be absolutely fine.
Not playing for 6 months at that age may significantly impact his form and such, though.
