I shudder to think how much we are spending on this team. I don’t think replacing the manager solves it. This is a product of all the contracts handed out to underperforming players and an unintelligent recruitment process.

Just looked at the stats on the 2 Scottish games tonight, both winning teams had less than 36% of the possession.
So to my way of thinking, it's purely down to how well you defend that gets results!!!

I think we’d built up a bit of form and were obviously helped by the sendings off that we benefitted from in the first quarter. Once the run of form has gone then it has exposed what we really are. It reminds me of the Duffy start to the 98 season where we looked world beaters for a few games before it plummeted rapidly.

Fotmob shows our head-2-head with RC at 12(w)-5(d)-8(l) in our favour. They were a "bogey" team for a while as we struggled for a result away but ultimately it just shows us what we already know and it's that results against most of the club's outside the top 2 for most of my life have been poor and not good enough considering the difference in finances. No divine right sure, but we should be consistently better more often than not. Serial underachievers for years is why as a club we mentally fall apart far too easily at times. Going to a massive amount of money and a huge squad upheaval to get rid of that.

Last season for me very little but this season he went through a good spell of looking to create something either himself or a pass.

Past few games I've seen he looked back to the average Joe but did come good vs St Mirren.

He can't be asked to do it all himself and Johnson knew the midfield was weak before he took the job and knew what had to be done.
