He’s very frustrating, I said a couple of months ago I think miller will end the season as first choice but injuries haven’t helped.

Cadden is good as a right back for me but as the main threat out wide I just don’t think he possesses enough quality to create for his teammates.

I’m normally not that guy and I don’t know if it’s frustration but him and Magennis need to get fit pronto and stay fit or we’re going to have to look to offload them.

Midfield and non existent quality out wide (Boyle is obviously quality but teams can just double up on him without fear of being punished elsewhere) are our biggest issues.

We’ve got a basic & SPL level functional back 4, leading keeper & Boyle. Everyone else is one paced and/or shrinks in adversity.

Time to get some of the development team back from loan in January, Delfierre, Brydon etc and give the likes of Aitken and any others from the U18s a try. I’m not convinced we’d be anymore inconsistent and might have a team/part of a team that could possibly grow into being a good one.

We’ve seen enough of this squad last season & this to see it’s not going anywhere. It’s great on paper and in all manner of stats but the reality is it’s average and little scope to improve.

I don't think the situation is as drastic as some here would make you believe. We've been crap, but usually when we've lost this season it's been down to not finishing chances. Tonight is the first time I've seen us this bad under LJ.

I don't think it has. You have to be careful what you wish for such as those that blamed Mathie for us missing out on McGrath and were delighted he was fired. The Craig / Mathie strategy seemed to be a get better slowly strategy. Since that point we have turbo charged the recruitment and have signed a huge number of players who, with 1 or 2 exceptions, have not improved the team. The coming window needs to be far more considered and those we add should be in key positions with an above average chance of improving the team. Now is not the time for blame but reflection on what has and hasn't worked so we improve the chances that recruitment in the future will be better.

I agree. Porteous has been brutal for weeks. I'd be tempted to withdraw his contract offer if he keeps defending like he has tonight and in many, many other games this season.

Good point. Steve Kean is obviously doing something right with the U19s so one part of the club is working. Perhaps as we look to promote these players into the first team, Kean moves with them?
