Possibly clutching at straws but I think this game and the opening League games might suit us a bit more. These League Cup games were always going to see us dominate the ball with the opposition camped in their own half (with exception of Falkirk maybe).

I’d expect we’re stronger playing on the break once we get Youan in and Doidge benched. Other teams posing a bit more threat themselves might suit us

From the moment the match was scheduled for the day after they played Celtic we were never going to face their first team.

No wonder free entry was given to early bird season ticket holders as a 'benefit' as we would've been struggling to get much of a crowd along otherwise.

I'll be going but after Wednesday's performance I'm finding it difficult to work up much enthusiasm.

Actually think the most positive thing you can say about McGeady so far is that he’s shown plenty willingness to do that side of things. If he could start doing a bit more of the stuff we expect from him, that would be handy though.

If Newell's playing LB then it's a brave choice from LJ and it might just work. God love Lewis but he offers nothing going forward these days. Newell has a good delivery and our crossing from both sides of the pitch has been honking for seasons now. Even with Cabrera signing we could do with another option at LB just in case.

The midfield will rely on Kenneh and Campbell being a little more sure in possession which they haven't been so far, I hope Norwich press our midfield so we can get a good look at whether they can play through the press. I'm looking forward to watching Hendo again as he's looked really sharp so far.

The front three are likely to get more space this week as Norwich wont just sit in and with Doidge being dropped mobility is higher. I hope Elias scores as I thought he was extremely poor last week and he could do with a confidence boost.
