He’s hit and miss.

Sometimes looks neat and tidy, sometimes he’s really sloppy.

I think he’ll come good long term but he’s pretty raw - not sure if he’s got the right now.

Ive not seen much sloppiness from him tbh. Maybe at times v Clyde but he tries things, gets forward and plays with confidence - player of the season for us, clalling it now

Definitely a bit better, especially Kenneh and Miller compared to previous performances. Hopefully McGeady was just a precaution.

Tavares, Miller and Kenneh look exactly what they are to me - young players with some impressive attributes finding their way at a higher level than they are used to.

It's not all perfect but there are flashes and positives. You can only see them improving from some decent exposure to first team football and you could actually see all 3 of them becoming very good players.

Do we have the patience to let them have that luxury though?

Agree with that 100% and is the risk you take when you sign young players with potential.

Could be good one game and terrible the next.

They’ll be playing against guys similar ages to them today which might make a difference but hopefully the confidence they take from it is massive.

He absolutely doesn't do a decent job. Barely knows our own players, saying that I've not abused him and only seen one comment calling him a plum that's uncalled for, it's not wrong to say he's bad at this because he's truly awful. A commentator shouldn't be getting half the forum talking about him, that's your first sign he's in the wrong role.

Dont agree he doesn't know our players. He clearly does. It's more his style/delivery folk dont like, fair enough, but he's certainly not awful - i'd be awful! Bet he does it for free so not sure it warrants ripping him for it. Maybe try a wee bit of constructive criticism and he could get better eh

Wouldn’t have minded some of the first team getting more minutes in their legs but I guess with injuries etc Johnson never wanted to take any chances.

I enjoyed that. We did well in the first half, confident passing and good discipline.

I thought Doidge was excellent and he should have had a penalty. The defender should have been booked a few minutes later for the cynical trip which definitely stopped a promising attack.

I would have given MOTM to Miller at right back rather than Melkerson, although I'm delighted he got a goal.

The youngsters looked very promising in the second half so I think there's a lot to look forward to.

If (when) we can work out how to break down 10 man defences, we'll be in for good times.

A couple of great deliveries, positionally good and touch tight to his man. Looked very composed. MacIntyre had a terrible first 5 minutes then played very well. He needs to get some more strength but looked good. Tait has got a chance too and Delferriere is very solid. I would have given MOTM to Miller who had a very good game and I was delighted with Doidge who worked very hard, won most headers and looked better than he has since his injury. All in a good run out and although McGeady getting injured isn't great we improved immediately he went off

I think he does the Kenneh/Marv/Matty Jack role better than Kenneh or Newell

One player who is absolutely not ready for an early Derby is tavares. I'd be happy with Delfierre playing on the right in the derby as he is a competitor wherever he plays

I thought Blaney was very good as well. Where does he usually play? Came on at left back last week but thought he looked really composed where he played today.

Plays alongside Daz in the middle of defence for the Dev squad. I reckon he will be challenging for a first team slot soon.

Agree ! Absolutely incredible the amount of folk on here who can’t wait to have a go at the club about everything [emoji2375] ever thought of accepting we are in a massive transitional period. The new manage team and new players need time to blend. Nowhere near our strongest team today - 8-9 potential starters missing but we still won. Instead of sitting in your houses moaning about hibs TV why not get out and channel you’re pent up negative energy into a positive and do what fans are meant to do - go along and support your team.

He's a midfielder and nothing else. Too wee for centre back and certainly no full back. Really like the look of him, particularly with Tait alongside him.

Mainly because there negativity would spread onto the pitch .Better leaving the m to forming opinions based on there own take on what’s happening.***** start to the season but let’s wait and see.And by the way I am not a happy clapper.

I heard him before I saw him, with his little girl

Yeah in his slightly too tight athletic leisure wear 🤣
