No idea why Hibs aren't giving us notice for away tickets, OK it won't sell out today but that's not the point.

I thought the AST holders got the notice 24hrs before it is generally advertised? Not that it matters as the link is usually put up here at the same time as the AST email. I might be imagining it though:greengrin

Brilliant pricing if taking kids. Although a bit mad that it costs me £8 less to take the wee man than it does to go myself!

To be fair to Hibs, St Johnstone only put the home tickets on sale yesterday, and Hibs would be relying on a link

Saves them money for a start, not having to get paper tickets printed will save clubs thousands over a season. Plus as soon as we hit purchase, they've got the money immediately.

Part of E will most likely be an overspill. Think they block off corner due to those wee fannies in corner of the home end.

I would imagine rest of these tickets will be sold in next couple of days it’s the first game of the season not far to travel and one of the most accessible for those going by car if don’t want to park in stadium car park there is parking not far from ground amongst the houses few minutes walk to stadium (get there early)or nearby dobbies etc

Think there was a section or two behind the goals still to open and I don’t think the first few rows in that stand have been opened yet either. So there will still be seats to become available but looks like we’re going to take a really good crowd.

Fingers crossed we have a support on Saturday that gets right behind the team from 2:40pm. I remember the cup game away to Killie under Fenlon. You sensed at that time the crowd were well up for it and it was a superb atmosphere.

I don’t think they have released the front 3 rows yet which is about 500 tickets as well as about 200 tickets in the section furthest from the main stand. It might sell out if their ticket site would stop crashing. Potentially 1000 tickets could be available

I'm genuinely shocked to see a 60% increase in the price of wheelchair tickets for this match compared with last season.

I get the rising cost of living etc but a 60% increase is absolutely disgraceful.

I'm now likely to be giving this one a miss as a result.

Update for anyone interested - I sent in an email to register my complaint to St Johnstone, not just with regards to the fact that I think the 60% increase for wheelchair users is in itself totally unreasonable but also the timing of such an increase during the worst cost of living crisis for many years is completely unacceptable.

Unfortunately all I got in response was a very generic email laying out the pricing policy for disabled supporters for this season, which I already knew beforehand.

There was no attempt to justify the timing of the 60% increase so I can only assume the person replying to the complaint wasn't entirely comfortable with the situation either - either that or they just couldn't care less that the complaint is from someone who represents such a small minority.

I hope everyone going on Saturday has a great time, personally hope we hammer them even more now than I did before and I also hope they get relegated.

Sadly I don't see myself ever returning to McDiarmid Park.

Car park the only option round the stadium yeah?

You can park at the estate across the road from the stadium. It's where the Saints fans park as well so expect a 10 minute walk to the stadium. You can also park in the streets around the Tulloch Institute. Again about a 10 minute walk.

Getting out the stadium car park is a nightmare.

When travelling there don't follow the football traffic signs. Go off at the Dobbie's exit.

A 60% increase is simply unjustifiable. at any time never mind the current climate. I'd be contacting their chairman / owner for comment given he must have signed off on it.

Looking forward to this now.

Massive game for us. We could really be doing with a win to build some confidence and positivity. Think it’s so, so important to get of to a good start in the league after last season and the way this one has started.

Winning in front of a big support would show the new players, in particular, how good it can be if they can go and do well.

Players badly let a large Hibs support down at Falkirk and those who went to Morton at ER.

I'm with you, you can't see the game properly at the front. Always find it bizarre when people sit in the front row of a half-empty stadium. I thought we were bang average against Bonnyrigg, then when I watched the replay on Hibs TV, I thought we were excellent (all thing considered, tricky pitch and that). They should release all the tickets at once, it's silly.

I make it there are a further 226 seats available, just release the whole lot and let people choose.
I agree it's frustrating (and a bit mysterious), but maybe it has something to do with stewarding/safety regulations?

Yup. I remember both ends being full of Hibs fans.

Last time I was there think it was under McLeish we took a sore one but I think I remember 3 stands full of hibs fans was a huge crowd anyway

Remember losing 4-0 there in a midweek league cup tie after we'd been relegated.

Massive Hibs support there that night, still streaming in midway through the first half. Sure some were locked out as well.

Not sure what's going on with tickets just now

Different issue, but County fans are raging that Hearts "we have upgraded our e ticketing" are apparently insisting on paper tickets onl, and for them to be sold only in dingwall.

This is ludicrous, esp as county have loads of fans in central belt who ain't going to travel up, but who maybe would have got an e ticket.

Clubs seem to enjoy making something that should be so simple as difficult a process as possible.

Clubs actively turning away paying customers is crazy!

Yes, all tickets now on sale, bar the first 4 rows of the last section in E.

Currently 228 tickets remaining which will probably go fairly quickly due to it being pay day for many

I’m sure that was the round after we had knocked Aberdeen out at ER thanks to a Stevie Crawford pen. Another example of Hibs building your hopes up just to then kick you in the spuds!! It’s the Hibs way😃

It was, and we were 3-0 down by half time too!

Worried that tomorrow has a similar feel to it.

We were a team in transition, with the dregs of the previous season still there and they had a squad which got into Europe that season and, IIRC, made the League Cup final and Scottish Cup semi (I was at both games at Parkhead with my mate). So not really a comparable situation, unless you just think we're honking and are going to get humped in the same way!

To be fair, I don't see it being of the 4-0 variety, but I'm not exactly confident in Hibs right now.

I hope they prove me wrong.

Half of block L. Seriously though why not just open the entire block at a time then when it's 90% full open another one?

Seems the Ormond Stand at opposite end was just going to be empty but now they have opened the central block for Hibs fans.

Looked at home ticket sales and wouldn't surprised if Hibs have more fans at the game than home fans.

I'm sure we went up there midweek under Hughes and got scudded 5-1. 2 or 3-0 down at HT IIRC. Think Stokes pulled one back for us and Colin Nish got sent off for being a fud. 2010 maybe? That was some night, and a big travelling support as well. What a let down.

Unless I misunderstood, it seems to be both ie you can buy online but there will also be a cash gate for that stand? Presumably if it sells out online (although that's maybe unlikely) the cash gate option will disappear?

I'm probably over-thinking this, but I've bought online tickets anyway out of paranoia...
