View Full Version : St Johnstone Tickets
That's maybe answered my paranoid/worried question above!
They're back online again, ****** knows what St Johnstone are up to!

Sales even more remarkable considering the absolutely farcical nature of their ticketing service. Shambolic.

I see there's still an alcohol ban in place on Scotrail trains. With the trains likely to be packed with Hibs fans heading up I wonder how strict they will be.

As long as you don't walk on with a slab of Tennents and a bag of Dragon Soop whilst behaving like a fanny, you will be fine to enjoy a discreet drink.

This huge away support is exactly what Ron is talking about that we will miss out on for the first couple of home games. Other clubs would have brought big away support, but someone has to lose out unfortunately it's hibs this year!

Doesn't feel worth starting its own thread but what are the go-to pubs for fans in Perth tomorrow?

The last time we took a similar support up there would be around the time that McLeish had just taken over.
League cup tie, mid-week, a Nathan Lowndes double and some of the angriest I’ve seen our fans. I’m sure even Stuart Cosgrove still recalls the abuse that was aimed at the Board.

Heading up on my own so I can ensure i won't be doing that. Few cans hidden in a bag shouldn't be an issue
Whats peoples advice on Parking? Never driven to St J before...
Exit the M90 at the Broxden roundabout and turn right into Perth. Take a first left past the Broxden business park, Carvery, Porche dealership and head for West Mains Avenue via Ettrick Drive and Fittis Road.
When you see the line of cars parked for the football, turn your car around to face the way you came BEFORE you park. Walk to the stadium from there (10 mins).
After the game, drive back to Broxden the way you came

I'm sure we went up there midweek under Hughes and got scudded 5-1. 2 or 3-0 down at HT IIRC. Think Stokes pulled one back for us and Colin Nish got sent off for being a fud. 2010 maybe? That was some night, and a big travelling support as well. What a let down.
Feb 2010, i remember the music being played on the way out, somewhat appropriately, was Big Yellow Taxi.

I remember it well. A really dark night for us. Sandy Clark was in charge of St Johnstone and I remember him saying arrogantly “why is anyone surprised as saints were premier league team and we were lower league”.
He was sacked later that season and we of course bounced back to the top league.

Well done Hibees, love games like this. Season openers aren’t usually good games but hope we go there with real intent and scoop the points up.
Expect St J to sit deep and try and hit on the counter, could be a frustrating afternoon.

Must be honest as kick off approaches and I'm reading about the numbers we're taking up today I am a bit gutted that I won't be there but principles must come first.
Hope everyone has an enjoyable day and we come away with three points.

Wheelchair ticket price for today has been raised by 60% compared with last season - there are a couple of posts a few pages back on this thread where I referred to it.
So I'm boycotting today's match.

Sorry it impacted the choice to go
Not sure how a rise of that percentage can be justified to be honest
Shame as they did seem to be offering some pretty good ticket options (£17 for 1 adult and 2 under 12s)
The wheelchair access prices need revisited
