Agreed and sure hope so... its been awful for several years now.

I was excited by Shaun Maloney's appointment but you could make the case he was doomed to fail by his choice of assistant manager. Done well, its a specialist role (thinking Mark Venus, John Doolan & Taff)

Reckon a younger manager, with a philosophy to implement, needs a no2 who can relate to the dressing room on the one hand, and who can persuade the boss to work on plan B (even just in emergency/short term) when the players are just really struggling with Plan A.

I agree this LJ team looks a really strong management group on paper. Encouraging times I hope

Saw another article and its impressive how many clubs he has been to who have done well and been involved at the business end of a season. Its been a while when we have had people involved in the club who are bringing that winning experience to the club.
Also , like the sound of bringing someone with such a wealth of experience for successful teams on the sports science side. Was concerned about the transition from how we played last season to the more forward thinking style of play but am beginning to feel pretty comfortable about the management team , just need to get the same feeling now about the squad

Sounds like he is heading to another Championship club as he said in his statement he’ll no doubt be seeing the Watford staff and fans again during the course of next season and about returning to Vicarage Road.

The most recent one was live radio and there's been podcasts and other media outlets too where the questions and answers were there in full.. But sure, they all edited out the exact same pieces of his answers for a laugh

If you only ever catch his interviews live then I applaud you and can see that a disclaimer about having already told the story might help. For normal people who might hear it live. Or might catch an EDITED recap. Or a transcribed version in another form of media. Such a disclaimer is going to be useless.

I guess as they aren't tailoring their output for mr ogywibble you may just have to suck it up. My recommendation? Listen to less live radio. Seems you've had your fill.

Journalists like this sort of thing. Shows he is a good media operator which is surely a big part of his job? A lot of the people listening to Sportsound don't listen to podcasts or watch Hibs TV etc.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading the six posts on this thread about Lee Johnson.

Marshall aside, I like how our signings so far all seem to be mobile, forward thinking players who have legs on them. Was Maloney’s biggest mistake IMO not playing to the players he had. I think Runar Hauge is still getting up to speed for the first team but even he might have been an option to have on purely for the willingness to cover every blade of grass, if not the quality quite yet.

Ignore on a laptop or go change phone to default style, once ignored go back to phone app style, one problem though is although you won't see their posts, you will see any posts they've been quoted in. Also funny watching someone having an argument with themselves, there's little context. :greengrin
