I'm not sure how anyone could watch the Aberdeen winner that day and think we weren't unlucky.Hearts winner last week was an abolsute pearler
Were we classed as unlucky then?
Was Jack Ross given any unlucky leeway for the sitters we missed, then pens we missed?
The narrative now seems to be losing big games is unacceptable no matter how many times you get us to them
Lennon should be held to the same standard as the previous 2 managers in that regard

Well yes I think Jack Ross should have been given some leeway in some of the big games (not all). I've also stated before that I think he did very well to get us to Hampden so many times.
Maloney's loss last week was the straw that broke the camel's back for him. If he had credit in the bank then I'd be more inclined to say he was unlucky. It was yet another defeat for him though with a number of poor decisions made again during the afternoon.
Out of all our Hampden defeats in the last few years I think Lennon's is def the least worst.

In the ten games immediately after he left we were P10 W 5 D 3 L 2. He left after our first league game of the season, and we had 17 points from our first eight games.
We then went into the bad spell that saw his departure, which seems to have stemmed from him losing the plot behind the scenes, and losing the dressing room. The idea that Lennon's success and subsequent short spell of failure were entirely down to John McGinn is lazy and inaccurate.
We were a lot weaker without McGinn, McGeough and Allan that’s for sure.

No doubt, we were always going to be.

Still haven’t got close to replacing them

The last two have never been the same since. Shows you what a player SJM IS.

Allan had a tremendous 2019/20 TBF.
Think his health issues have played the main part in him not reaching the same heights ( of course McGinn would have helped though).

Allan had a really good season in the Heckingbottom/Ross season, his first season back after 2018 - scored 10 goals and had 11 assists. It was his condition that has made him not the same, not McGinn's absence alongside him.
McGeouch was an excellent player for us before McGinn arrived.
